Simply a case of Sega being Sega. If I remember correctly, they discontinued their "Sega Sports" line on Gamecube only days after the game shipped.goodcow said:Were there really only 3,000 copies made? If so, what the hell was the point of even developing a Gamecube version?

bobbyconover said:Weird. I was at Fry's just a few days ago, and they had at least 10 copies. I didn't even know the game had been released in the US - I was actually pretty into the import for a while, but ended up selling it 6 months or so ago. Maybe I'll pick it up again now that it's out here, if there's any truth to the rumor of rarity.
In a perfect world Mr Driller Drill Land would be uber rare, inspiring collectors and 'hardcore gamers' to seek it out, and hopefully exposing them to its brilliance in the process. Unfortunately, it's not. The good news, though, is that it can easily be had for about $30 on eBay or elsewhere. I highly recommend everyone check it out!

bobbyconover said:Yeah, and it completely dominates every other Mr Driller release before and since, to boot. If you're even remotely interested in the other games in the series you should seriously consider tracking it down.

The RE's besides being criminally bad, are criminally bad ports. I weep for people buying them at premium prices.
bobbyconover said:I've offered several times to mod Gamecubes for free (you pay shipping to/from me) specifically so people could try out Drill Land, and not once has anyone taken me up on it. :\
I've had a good deal on it (in my opinion). Sealed for 19,99$ USD.sonarrat said:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...097207-2263210?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846
Expensive sealed, but quite reasonable if you don't mind used..
