what are the rarest gamecube games?

Probably Cubivore, Doshin the Giant, Resident Evil remakes, Skies of Arcadia Legends. Though none of these are that rare. You might just have to pay full price for them.

Was Doshin the Giant actually released in the US or just in Europe and Japan? Also, Alien Hominid isn't super rare now, but I think it eventually will be

Were there really only 3,000 copies made? If so, what the hell was the point of even developing a Gamecube version?

Beats me. It may have been a simple accounting error like the one that saw McDonald's order $100 million worth of advertising for the Arch Deluxe instead of $10 million.

Simply a case of Sega being Sega. If I remember correctly, they discontinued their "Sega Sports" line on Gamecube only days after the game shipped.

As far as rare titles go, I'll add Konami's Rave Master to the list. Even my steadfast collector friends had trouble tracking this one down.

I'm also betting on the Collector's Edition of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to eventually be tough to find as well.

Weird. I was at Fry's just a few days ago, and they had at least 10 copies. I didn't even know the game had been released in the US - I was actually pretty into the import for a while, but ended up selling it 6 months or so ago. Maybe I'll pick it up again now that it's out here, if there's any truth to the rumor of rarity.

In a perfect world Mr Driller Drill Land would be uber rare, inspiring collectors and 'hardcore gamers' to seek it out, and hopefully exposing them to its brilliance in the process. Unfortunately, it's not. The good news, though, is that it can easily be had for about $30 on eBay or elsewhere. I highly recommend everyone check it out!

They made Mr. Driller for Gamecube?

Ikuaruga is rare??

my local game shop has like 10 copies, some sealed going for 29.99CAD and used for 19.99CAD, it's actually the only gamecube game I kept after getting rid of my nintendo stuff, well that in Twin Snakes.

Skies of Arcadia Legends is $20 new. Go to the nearest GameStop or EB.

It's quite rare I hear!

p.s.

lol idiots

Puyo Pop fever. I had never seen or heard of this game until I saw sega's site a few weeks ago and saw the release date 7/20. Having never heard of its release I assumed that woul dhave it coming out in a few weeks, but it really came out lasdt year (7/20/04) and I had completely never heard of it coming here (I wouldve bought it release day.) Future grail, and a fun game too.

Twin Snakes is really rare in PAL territories it seems, somewhat bizarrely. Doshin the Giant isn't really rare at all, copies can be had new for about $15 US.

I thought Resident Evil 2 and 3 were supposed to be rare, but I saw tons of copies of them at Frys the other day...

Really? Damn, I think I'll pick both of 'em next time I'll be in L.A. I wish we had Fry's in Canada :(

Here are some games I'm easily able to find at Gamestop

1) Pool Paradise
2) Space Invaders
3) Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure
4) PN03
5) Beach Spikers
6) Lost Kingdoms (both)
7) Swingerz Golf
8) Resident Evil 2
9) Resident Evil 3

It's a shame that most of these are garbage.

Capcom fuckers released a small batch of RE3 not a day before I planned to put my copy on eBay to sell for $90...

That would explain it...

I've never played RE3, so I think I should get the GC version since it was the most recent version of it released (even if it is just a port).

you need a mod to save Mr. Driller Land :(

The RE's besides being criminally bad, are criminally bad ports. I weep for people buying them at premium prices.

They're $26 or so each at Game Express. (gexpress.com)

That includes 2, 3, and CV.

I've offered several times to mod Gamecubes for free (you pay shipping to/from me) specifically so people could try out Drill Land, and not once has anyone taken me up on it. :\

I've never heard of these offers.

Modding has always scared me though...

Good luck. The basketball and football games are very hard to find, while the soccer and party games show up now and then, but usally no less than $40+. There were other GC Disney games, but nowhere near as rare.

How about Go! Go! Hypergrind!

That's still readily available for $10ish where I live. I can't believe Disney's Party is rare, though. That was the ultimate pass-on-it-for-$5-at-Circuit-City game for the longest time!
