at this rate I will not be eating anything for dinner....
my kid's steamdeck is quite complicated to get non steam deck stuff installed for someone who just go their hands on it.
I dont want to install windows...yet
lucky for me very good tutorials online.
got epic games launcher, going to work on others, plus emulator, plus random games off my PC , minecraft..
just coffee and ADD kicking in....

those are Vietnamese spring rolls. they use rice paper as the warping so it's a little lighter and thinner.

Uh, it's kinda impolite to not post pictures.
It was date night for my wife and I, and it was my turn to pick. I wanted to try some banh mi. I also have been craving pho, and there was a new place near where our children live.
Very nice place, clean, friendly. Stuff was really delicious. The standout for both of us were the spring rolls. Just out of sight. The texture wasn't at all what I was expecting. Had a wonderful, almost baozi/gnocci texture, and the peanut sauce was a treat. Good stuff. Will return for sure.
The tendon pho was also great. Nice, thinly sliced pieces of tendon, very tender with just a slight bit of chewiness. I loved it. Couldn't finish everything, but we had a lovely afternoon.

Just got back from the butchers, we are having scotch fillet steak with roast vegies.
Took some photos and cooked up perfectly. Forgot to take photos when the peas and carrot were on the plate.
Misses does a great mushroom, onion, white wine, green peppercorn and cream sauce.
Corn prepped with paprika, butter, salt and wrapped in foil to then go on the BBQ.
Sauce being given some love, on the go for 45mins.
Parboiled potatoes, drained and then roughed up in the pan to then be roasted on a tray in olive oil, rosemary, salt, bacon fat
Near final meal, missing peas and carrot.

I was inspired by this post for my dinner tonight.
Which will be breaded fish, chips, petit pois and semi home made tartar sauce (using Hellman's mayo)
