It's too bad I didn't hear this album sooner (like, a year ago, when it came out), but I'm enjoying it quite a fair bit:

The Byrds - Mr Tambourine Man
Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire de Melody Nelson
Paul McCartney and the Wings - Band on the Run
Can - Future Days (their most accessible record by far. Even if you dislike Can, the spacey sheen and eerie jams of this record will grab you)
Suicide s/t (Following a demoralising 'Frankie Teardrop' listen with any other song is almost impossible. My ears are honestly bruised. A nihilistic record I don't necessarily recommend.)
The Move s/t
Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed
Nick Drake - Bryter Layter ('Fly'... sigh)
Van Dyke Parks - Song Cycle

First time participating in a thread like this, and I'm ashamed to admit that I am listening to....

All blues, all good, each very different from the other two.

I always liked Mick Jones better, anyway.

Well, I guess now they'll never top this.

I'll be seeing these lads with Xiu Xiu and Deerhoof on Thursday. Oh yeah. Oh yes.

That's about it for the heavy heavy rotation. Throw Bjork in there too.

I was about ready to fall asleep all day at work, so it was rock my ass day.

Pidgeon - From Gutter w/ Love (check out samples here)
The Bronx - The Bronx
Hot Snakes - Suicide Invoice
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers
I am the World Trade Center - The Cover Up (holy fuck, it's so good)
Of Montreal - Satanic Panic in the Attic (I'm real late here, and I shouldn't be, I <3 me some E6...)
Racebannon - In the Grips of the Light
Ink & Dagger - The Fine Art of Original Sin

Fuck, I don't want to wait another month for the new Hot Snakes CD. Something needs to come out now that makes the wait easier.

That's funny, Amazon says East doesn't come out until the 7th, but I bought it months ago.
I think it was released by the band a while ago, but this is the major label release.

Prince - Greatest Hits
The Helio Sequence - Love And Distance
The Beta Band - The Three EPs

when not making music, Minus the Bear run a soft-core porn site much like Suicide Girls.

Its pretty old but I only heard a few songs from the album yesterday. So today I went and bought it. Easilly one of the best albums I have ever listened to. :)

The best album out of the UK in the '90s. Nope, no nod OK Computer.

Steve Albini's production makes it that much better.

Unsolved Child Murder, IMO.

Hmmm I've never heard of them. Which 2 tracks would you recommend I check out?

I've been listening to:

B0002JUXB0.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Björk - Medulla

As I said, it's brilliant. I'm beginning to like it even more now!!!

B000003TAL.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Sonic Youth- Daydream Nation

B00004BZ0N.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

The Clash - London Calling

B000002UJQ.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Radiohead - OK Computer

Nothing really 'out there.' :-\

Unsolved Child Murder, Child Brides, or Dead Sea Navigators. That's all off After Murder Park. I like their other material, but AMP is the band's peak.

Luke Haines is their frontman. You may have heard of or heard Black Box Recorder. He's in that band; he just doesn't sing.

DAMMIT PEOPLE, PUT THE BAND NAME AND ALBUM TITLE UNDER YOUR GODDAMN COVERS

For instance, what band is this:

B00008XS4D.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

I may want to check them out, but I don't know who the fuck I'm supposed to be searching for!

as a side note: holy hell, man. Belle and Sebastian are just so amusing.
The first time i heard the line "You know my bip / bopping days are over", I just cranked out the biggest smile.

How do you like it?

Ah, forgot to reply to this. Was banned for a couple of days.

I've only had the chance to listen all the way through three times. Art Damage is definitely a lot harder. Adam's vocals are no longer as melodic, and definitely not as frequent... But the songs are still catchy as ever, and make me constantly want to rock out in public. Guitar play is excellent and chugging harder than ever. Vocals are top notch, and the drums even better this time around. Plus I feel Art Damage is more consistent from track 1 all the way to 11. Besides Fashion Tips Baby, the backend of OHPS was much stronger. Everything from The 20th Century Was Entirely Mine through What Happens In Vegas Stays In Vegas really outclassed the first 15 minutes of the record imo. Anyway, I still can't decide which release I like better. Though Art Damage is definitely my favorite release of 2004 thus far. Up to this point I had to cheat and push OHPS (a '04 re-release) as my favorite. In any case, Art Damage rocks. \m/ My favorite tracks are "Should Have Stayed In The Shallows" and "Hey Kid. I'm a Computer. Stop All The Downloading." I'll stop mumbling now.

Btw, FBTMOF has some new shirts up on their merch page. Been a while since they have played here, so not sure if they are hawking them at shows or not. But I got me the sexy pink tshirt with the Art Damage Funeral graphic on it. Rock.
