What are you playing now?

I went to WAGs boutique and all I got was a sniff

Since I read the DDS is awesone thread I decided to go and buy this game. I've been playing it for about 5 hours and I really like it.

It's pure crack. Since getting it I've also tried HSG3 and HSG:F, and there's no comparison. This game is best by far on the PSP - so tight and such a joy to behold. This has been the backbone of my PSP purchase.

Almost through MM1, and I plan to make my way through as many as I can. I have never owned a Nintendo console before, so I missed out on the entire series. This has been a nice introduction.

Hey dark, how is that OZ game? It looked interesting from a preview movie I saw, but I wasn't quite sure about the game play.

Rockman Dash (PSP)
Prof. Kawashima's DS Brain Training for Adults (DS) - everyday baby!
Kirby Canvas Curse (DS)

And just finished Another Code (DS) over the weekend.

Guild Wars (PC)
Battlefield 2 (PC)

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat demo (XB)
Halo 2 (XB)

God Of War (PS2)
GTA: SA (PS2)

I'm such an American.

MVP Baseball 2005 - Just starting the World Series in a completely played season...definite'y got my money out of this purchase at $40 CDN.

Fire Emblem - Although not recently, as I'm stuck on a mission that I have simply not taken the time to do properly yet. Still, really enjoying it and will pick up PoR in October.

It's very enjoyable.

I love it. The combat system is suprisingly addictive as a result of the team work. Attack an enemy until he is staggered and then launch him to one of your partners. They always call out each others names (including yours) before passing. The goal is to keep the enemy in the air as long as possible (either until you miss or he dies). As long as you are juggling the enemy, your super bar charges. There are multiple levels on this bar as well. The bar drains quickly, though, so you need to be ready to pull off a super. A lot of enemies can only be damaged by a super attack, though, so juggling the smaller enemies becomes a large part of it. It really is quite engaging, but takes some practice (they rarely miss a juggle...so you are generally the weak link until you've got a nice handle on it).

The progression seems similar to Chaos Legion, but more interesting. When you enter an area, you generally need to defeat all enemies to continue (though there are other goals as well). Between missions, you are able to upgrades your characters as well as handle any other between levels functions.

The story is suprisingly engaging as well. Lots of good dialog to read and kickass cutscenes. There is some difficult vocab, though, so I still need to keep my laptop handy (I certainly didn't know words like 疫病神 prior to playing this game, so I guess that's good). The presentation is extremely good, though, and the game is loaded with style. The music is also really really good (composed by Michiru Yamane and sounds every bit as good as her CV work) and the visuals are pretty solid (though only 30 fps...).

I'd say it's worth a shot.

Shadow Hearts Covenant (finishing up side-quests before tackling final boss)
Fire Emblem (chapter 25)
Advent Rising PC

I don't play videogames.

Alien Hominid (GC) - Just beat it last night. Invader Zim meets Metal Slug. An excellent game that can be had for cheap. I recommend it.

Legend of Zelda 4 Pack Collection (GC) - Third game I bought I think back in May and just now getting to it (backlog, baby). Playing them all but probably not one after another. Playing the original.

Super Robot Wars GC (GC-JPN) - Stuck at a part but I'll beat it. I stopped playing it a few days ago in favor of Alien Hominid and now Zelda. I will get to it probably after I bet LOZ.

More games to add to the backlog so here's the recent purchases list:

Bust-A-Move 3000 ($15)
Mystic Heroes ($12)
Nintendo Puzzle Collection ($27)

I have $30 in EB credit and I know I'm going to lose that card. Going to get a $9.99 used copy of Metroid Prime probably and a GBA game, probably cart only. Going to DS the cases of GBA games probably so boxes don't matter to me.

Edit: I'm probably also going to import Sonic Gems Collection. I have a $5 off Play-Asia coupon so why not. Streets of Rage > Vectorman.

lately just the Battlefield Modern Combat xbox demo.

i've got a decent backlog i should really start on, but it keeps getting thrown aside to shoot people on xbox live :lol

Killer 7
I was expecting something retardedly artsy for the sake of being retardedly artsy, but this is a pretty intriguing game.

Max Payne Kung-Fu v. 3.0
Sounds cheesy as sin, and it definitely is in some ways, but its one of the greatest mods released. Wish there was a Max Payne 2 edition.

Devil May Cry 3
Not as good as I was hoping, so far, though its mostly just annoyances with the save points and the like. I'm not all that good at it.

Back-of-my-mind considerations:
Mame
is nabbing some of my interest lately, but I really need to find a good way to play it. One of the greatest pieces of software ever written, no doubt.
Morrowind might get another full-scale chance from me.
Beneath a Steel Sky is waiting in ScummVM.

Pyschonads. I don't really like this game much...but I have this thing about finishing all the games I buy. One of the few times that didn't happen was with Sonic Heroes...argh that game sucks dick, I eventually gave it away to a friend who's a big sonic fan. :P

I've been playing catch-up of late.

About a week ago, I finally completed
243647.jpg

Not as awesome as R&C:GC only because it didn't feel as fresh. It's still great fun and a great game.

Now, I've come back to
255311.jpg

which I left dormant for a few months. I started Ch3/Imperial City and I'm still there, but I completed the Necropolis and only have the assassin base to go through to move on to Ch4.

I've been having a very good time w/ this game. Sure the combat is shallow, but I don't think the point of the game is to have a Ninja Gaiden-like combat system. It's just an ARPG. It should be tweaked for a sequel, but it's by no means bad, it just ends being a secondary aspect of the game (the story being primary).

I'm enjoying the story and atmosphere of the game quite a bit. The atmosphere is so different from the typical medival/fantasy/cyberpunk RPG setting that it feels very refreshing. The story is building quite a bit of intrigue, so I'm eager to see where it goes next.

Finally, the game I've played inbetween, around and instead of others

Owner mode is both a blessing and a curse. To a minutae obsessed mofo like me, I have to make sure I find the optimum ticket prices and promos for each and every home game, which drains time and my enjoyment of the game. I have to figure out a way to settle for less than perfection in that sense. Still, it's fun to build your stadium.

I never really played it as much as I should. I had it since it came out. I started playing again this week. All I have to do is beat diamond on master.

Battlefield_2_Cover_gross.jpg

This is kept me busy most of the summer. I am almost a vet sniper; just a few more hours to go. I'll probably be the first to get it.

Mainly, I have been playing these two.

180044b6gh.jpg

For some odd reason I have the sudden urge to replay this again. I'm sure I can hold out for Subsistence though. Beat it a few more times when that comes out.

Next week, I'll add this to the list.

I envy you for having WE9>:(. How is the game compared to WE8

It's a good update. The only thing I wish they would fix is how 6 star difficulty is just cheap. They foul the hell out you still and get whistled like 1 out of 5 times. The ball physics are much better in this one, they feel more realistic. Also the new animations are sweet, especially the way players chest the ball down to their feet.

If you are a fan I would definitely pick it up when it's localized.
