I've been playing catch-up of late.
About a week ago, I finally completed
Not as awesome as R&C:GC only because it didn't feel as fresh. It's still great fun and a great game.
Now, I've come back to
which I left dormant for a few months. I started Ch3/Imperial City and I'm still there, but I completed the Necropolis and only have the assassin base to go through to move on to Ch4.
I've been having a very good time w/ this game. Sure the combat is shallow, but I don't think the point of the game is to have a Ninja Gaiden-like combat system. It's just an ARPG. It should be tweaked for a sequel, but it's by no means bad, it just ends being a secondary aspect of the game (the story being primary).
I'm enjoying the story and atmosphere of the game quite a bit. The atmosphere is so different from the typical medival/fantasy/cyberpunk RPG setting that it feels very refreshing. The story is building quite a bit of intrigue, so I'm eager to see where it goes next.
Finally, the game I've played inbetween, around and instead of others
Owner mode is both a blessing and a curse. To a minutae obsessed mofo like me, I have to make sure I find the optimum ticket prices and promos for each and every home game, which drains time and my enjoyment of the game. I have to figure out a way to settle for less than perfection in that sense. Still, it's fun to build your stadium.
