What Can I Say?

It's not just what he said. The video on Nintendo.com specifically spoke about a presentation on thursday (the 19th, if you aren't keeping track of dates).

Yeah I saw all that. Quite interesting. If Nintendo does come with another conference and "Punks" us then that would be cool but I wouldn't count on it. Even Iwata giving the Puzzle comment lends it some credibility but we got so owned this morning that I don't think anyone is willing to believe at this point. :lol

Have you got a link by any chance to that site?

I don't think he really leaked anything, though. Just trying to steer us in the right direction.

After the Nintendo E3 press conference I'd say he helped steer the Nintendo fanbase right off a giant cliff.

Fux the haters.

Although I'm pretty confident than in terms of hardware performance Nintendo's outing will only be competitive and not on the same level as PS3 in that regard.

I can't find it now because search is gone, but remember that thread where a Nintendo magazine listed a bunch of games to be shown at E3. It included stuff like Mario & Luigi 2, Metroid Dread, Touch Golf, Nintendo Tetris etc? Since that actually turned out to be true, does that mean Nights actually IS in dev for Revolution? Can anyone else locate that thread easily so we can check it?

Yeah, I have the scan, and stuff like the 2d Metroid DS game were not shown during the conference...

That's pretty much my take too. If it's the same as last gen performance wise with GC being squarly in the middle and giving the top spot a good run for it's money on some games designed for the system, I'm more than happy with that.

Also, something is definately going on OR went on with their conference. 45 minute delay and all. when the 20th falls if I know then what I know now, I will settle on being pretty disappointed with the available info. Launch is a year away though. I guess everyone was just expecting a massive showing like Sony put out.

I don't know, common sense tells us that if Nintendo had something that beat out the Xbox 360, and rivaled the PS3 they would have made sure everyone heard about it. But they scaled back their presentation. Doesn't sound like confidence to me.

Usual Nintendo conservatism.

I am more eager to find out whether the entire library of NES/SNES/N64 titles will be able available for Rev or will it just be Nintendo published.

Here is what Aries said 2 weeks ago:

“Another thing I forgot to mention was on the backward compatibility;
apparently the Nintendo’s new console will be able to play the games
from past consoles such as GC, N64, SNES, and yes NES. I believe this
feature shall intrigue many people out there and could possibly lead to
what I call “New Classics” so look forward to that. For now I have to
seriously catch some shut eye E3 will be here soon enough.”

Makes you wonder.

I could have sworn Aries was almost unanimously declared a fraud a little while ago, but I suppose it was just Matt C. and some GAF members voicing opinions. Aries's claims coming true is intriguing. I'm not, however, going to get my hopes up for anything more at this E3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the rest of the expo consist of attendents playing games? When would Nintendo have an opportunity to reveal anything new?
You MAY have just answered your own question.

That's what ended up happening, yeah. I still think it's Nintendo's fault, though. While it is true that anything an insider learns is subject to change, I think Johnny was aware of that. He was just really confident about what he knew, and anyone can make that mistake. Oh well.
