Nah, we're going back to smaller phones.
I don't have 2020 vision
President Trump will be running for reelection.
Guys, what if we're watching The Fantastic Four made by Marvel studios in 2020.
The future is bright.
2030-2040 would be a bit more interesting OP.
Even if you ignore most of my points it's crazy to me that people believe that when basically the entire world has smartphone/internet access is going to be more of the same. Especially since a fraction of the people in the world having internet access has changed so much already in the world already

Awesome tech rundown OP. Lots of promising things for the future.
The only way I can see ~4 billion additional people having smartphones not improving my day to day life is if first all subsequent tech progress was in a vaccum. And second if those 4 billion people did not use the internet in their new smartphones at all. At the very minimum, more than double the current amount of data sources will extremely improve tech that utilizes machine learning. That includes image search, facial recognition, and, finding meaning in our words and questions at a faster rate than before. And that's only if they only use their phones for things like social media and Google searchingWhat is it going to change in your day to day life? I'm skeptical that sub-saharan Africa among other places will have close to full connectivity in 4 years.

Thank you both, I kind was getting annoyed that people sayings it would be the same while clearly not reading the op or looking at the many sources providedIndeed. That was a very well put together post. Thanks for that OP.
