Microsoft has Tomb Raider, Forza 6, Halo 5 and Sony has what - basically only Persona 5. I'm thinking about buying PS4 but I must say - this year's Q4 doesn't look convincing. Could Sony have so many winter games to announce at E3? What do you guys think we can realistically expect from them?

I'm asking because I'm more and more thinking about buying PS4 and using my PC solely for games like Heroes of Might and Magic VII or Darkest Dungeons - bascially titles which wouldn'r require upgrading my current, 2 year old computer.

If sony puts legitimate marketing behind Persona 5 they could probably turn it into a sort of Final Fantasy 7 moment. Also as said before e3 is sooonnnn ^_^ let's see what they have in store ~ We also can't forget about sony marketing for third party games (I've heard rumors on neogaf of them getting the cod marketing deal this year), Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid 5 etc. They'll be fine ~

Presumably, as you are speaking about winter, I would just wait until Winter then you don't have to make the choices of if that system is worth buying for you based on marketing material for upcoming games.

depends on your CPU. if it's just a case of upgrading your GPU then buying a console is a terrible value proposition unless you can't live without their pool of exclusives.

I think I cracked it. Look at the first 4 games and you'll immediately see a pattern emerge. First game is very likely, 2nd unlikely, third likely again, 4th unlikely (no way there's gonna be a Ken-less SF). It seems that every odd numbered game on this list will 100% be announced.

Which means expect to see the following games at E3:
Gran Turismo 7
Horizon
Media Molecule New IP
JRPG 2 and 4
New Sly
PS All Stars 2
FF XV (duh)
KH 3 (duh, very sly, Verendus)
New Square Enix IP (I mean, Dissidia is new as far as PS4 is concerned)
FF 7 and 6 remake (I'm thinking this is tongue in cheek and hinting at a FF6 PS4 port alongside the already announced FF7)
Dragon Quest XI (almost a given at this point)
Monster Hunter PS4 (1st real megaton on the list and we're so far down, reinforcing its possible validity)
New Capcom TPS IP
New Ubisoft/Naval/Sega/Soul Calibur (too unspecific, could range from AAA to indie except Soul Calibur)

Heck, this is actually really plausible. Nothing here is too out there, it's actually pretty tame considering the usual expectations, while still jam-packed and interesting.

Fuck, now I'm full excite mode for E3. I wonder if my interpretation of Verendus' post turns out to be the unadulterated truth.
