Blues Traveler is one of my all-time favorite bands of the '90s. Them, and Blind Melon.

After Bobby Sheehan died, I remember John Popper putting out an album that was OK. But since then I've heard nothing. I do remember that John lost a shit-ton of weight, but that's been five years ago.

Any fans of Blues Traveler? News?

ROCK FACT: Did you know that Blues Traveler and Spin Doctors were in fact sister bands? If you own Up For Grabs or Pocketful of Kryptonite, then you'll hear John sitting in with the band.

blues traveler teh rock... they're my fav band :)

after bobby sheehan they released Bridge, which was like you said, was OK... after that they released Truth Be Told, which freaking rocked and a DVD as well, Blues Traveler Live Thinnest of Air.

I think they signed with a new label and are working on a new album now

What Bobby Sheehan died? When and what of? I heard a song from them a couple days ago that I thought was new. Pretty sure it wasn't on their older stuff.

7ims, did you ever get to see Blues Traveler live? I didn't get the opportunity. But like you said, if they're working on a new album, I might have to check tour dates when it comes out.....

Also- Favorite album? Favorite song?

i've been wanting to go so them for a long time but everytime the bastards go on tour they stay in the US (There are exceptions such as when they toured European Air Force Bases... I'm in Canada btw)

as for my favorite album... that's a tough one... I think it would have to be a tie between their first album and Straight on Till Morning

it would be next to impossible for me to choose a favorite song :s

what about you... what's your favorite album?

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I never paid hardly any real attention to them, but I've kinda wondered myself what happeend too them... always liked them when I heard them, and saw them warm up for the Stones several years ago at Soldier Field. They were really good.

I saw them perform on Conan not long ago, maybe a year? Wasn't sure it was the same singer since he lost so much weight.

John started losing weight right around the time Bobby died. He got an angioplasty because he was having chronic chest pains (funny story, if you've ever watched VH1 storytellers) and he's stopped smoking and been on an apparently kickass diet ever since.
