The House in Fata Morgana.

I’m only a few hours in but absolutely loving so far. I haven’t been this engrossed in a VN since Raging Loop.

Currently wading through Horizon:ZD on ps5 with the patch. Several hours in and just finding it difficult to stay invested. I’m a little bummed. Hoping it clicks soon.

Just finished Jedi Fallen Order, Doom Eternal, and TLoU2 - all ps5 upgrades, and liked them all a lot, despite hating Doom at first. Ended up buying the dlc. Yay.
First 20 hours horizon for me was 7/10 and I wasn't really getting the hype . It only started really click for me around hour 25 and I think the 20 hours after it were 10/10 for me . Leaving the dlc until Xmas . Ended up adoring the game so keep going . Iv heard of other people not loving it until a good chunk into it too

I'm away from home, so I finished up Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom on my Switch, what an awesome game. Just started Ni No Kuni, an hour in and loving the art style and game.

Otherwise on PC I finished Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and now I'm playing through Yakuza 0 after having loved Kiwami, and I'm loving 0 even more!

Zelda: BOTW - just beat 3 divine beast last night. Thunderblight Ganon is the first beast I unlocked and couldn't beat due to insane fight.

Super Mario Odyssey - copy arrived two days ago and already collected about 65 moons. This game seems too easy unlike last two Mario games.

Playing Aliens Fireteam Elite.... a lot! Other than that not much, just waiting for Diablo 2, Back 4 Blood, Halo, BF2042 etc.

Redownloaded BF1 last night, might jump in there today for some WW1 justice.

Finished up Spec Ops: The Line. It was enjoyable and had a unique story. You pretty much have to play it until the end to find out what happened. It felt like a psychological horror (but not in a scary way). The choices your character makes and the thoughts that go on in their head are interesting to say the least.

Right after I started playing Gears 5. I played it originally on Gamepass, but it stopped working midway through! As a standalone title it's not that great. I remember enjoying it more when I played it right after Gears of War 4 -- being as it's a direct continuation of that game. I think I'm getting better at these games too... the hard difficulties aren't that hard anymore.

It took FOREVER for HZD to click with me. I tried to play it like 7 times. I liked pretty much everything except the actual gameplay loop and characters. But like halfway thru (maybe even more tbh) it finally clicked. The story started to really pick up and i got roped in. And eventually i just had to concede that the playstyle that i wanted to use wasn't working. And i started to lean more into using all the crap they give u to fight the robo-dinos. And started enjoying killing things. Im almost done. I still have a problem with many of the characters in the world just not being interesting. And the collectibles. Im at the end and just in the normal course of playing the game i only came across like 6 of the 60 or something collectibles.

Currently playing Red Dead Redemption 2. The original being one of my favorite games of all time. I played the sequel at launch and tho i really dug the intro and everything, the piss poor shooting and general clunkiness really put me off. The monotony and just mundaneness of it all. The game became a chore to play. Picked it up once or twice. Im not sure what it is. Maybe the pacing. But its just not as fun as the original. Tho it might also be that modern games just get bigger and bigger. And sometimes a smaller more manageable and focused game is more enjoyable. Probably why i prefer Arkham Asylum to its sequels.

In many ways though, RDR 2 is exactly everything i wanted in a sequel back when we all finished the first game. And truly is amazing at times.

Tried, learned and got hooked on Elite Dangerous. I don't know how long it'll keep me engrossed but for now it is good fun.

NO PAIN TRANCE CONTINUE
Just had such a great race in Gtsport! Such a, well, wholesome experience after all day being rammed off the road or punted at corners with malicious intent.

Wow. Both him and me broke away from the pack early on, he at pole, me second place, and after being rammed at the first high speed corner I recovered and found myself in his slipstream once more. After some mistakes on his part I passed him on continued on until the pressure of being first got to me and I started making mistakes as well. He passed me, I passed him and so forth. But all the time when in close proximity we kept it civil and let each other pass when we got the run on another.

At some point I cracked a smile thinking how good it felt racing without worrying about dirty shit coming at you at every moment.. I made sure to thank him in the lobby afterwards <3

Another win! (They don't come often lol) Had to work my way up to the guy in the lead because of a early mistake. Took me a couple of laps. When I got a better exit and wanted to pass him he started to block me and tried to drive me off the road when next to him, because ofcourse, sigh...

So when I passed him I gave him a taste of his own medicine by mildy brake checking him (don't judge me lol) which caused him to meet the barrier and rage quit. Very satisfying lol.

Afterwards the guy finishing behind me asked if I was on my second account..

Tom Cruise GIF

(I wasn't ofcourse)

~ The End

It's this race btw (not me)

Start at 25:00

Using the Viper myself

Update:

So I watched the replay and yeah, he was letting of the pedal to position himself to ram me off lol. So when I (luckily) got past him I knew he was going to straight murder me in the oncoming fast right bender, that's why I slightly brake checked him. But seeing all of this from his POV revealed he indeed (what a surprise) intended to do that (and I'm 100% he was planning on that regardless.)

It reminded me.of this scene in Initial D, like a *real* life replication lol!!

DOUBLEUH CRASHUH!!!!

Exactly the same situation happend, poor guy

Still Max Payne 3, but on New York Minute Hardcore arcade mode.

This is simultaneously one of the greatest and most frustrating modes I've ever played. I'd say its comparable to Vanquish's infamous tactical challenge no. 6., If not possibly more challenging.

It requires you to play through every single player level, with no deaths while one a countdown time limit. The single player campaign itself is littered with insta-death sequences, that can easily go wrong if you're not paying attention, and some really tricky sections. Despite all that, I'm almost tempted to say that this is the definitive way to play the game. The mode really pushes you to go beyond the limit using Payne's skillset to the fullest and some times hazard some risky shit to advance.

You really haven't played the game untill you've tried it on this mode.

Finished sr3 remaster and bought sr4 game of the century edition for 4 euros lol.

The game is super fun with all the powers, highly unbalanced and makes cars and weapons kinda useless, but boy it is fun being basically a poor man superman with all the exagerated wacky physics of a saint row game.

I hate the alien thing tho, i like when you fight gangs more.

Marvel

could never
Avengers game. Campaign is pretty fun, will uninstall after though. No interest in mp co OP grindjankfest.

Playing several games at the moment, but the one getting most of my attention is Psychonauts 2. Just beat the Psi King myself, man what a level. So much imagination and art packed into one game. This is a rare gem for the ages so far, and my current GoTY. I can't wait to see what Double Fine make next.

Just finished Hades and now I'm trying out Biomutant on PC..Hades was a fun little actiony romp through hell. With all the mixed reviews on Biomutant and me being bored looking for something new, thought I would give it a shot. It has my attention right now. Interesting concept and combat and crafting is pretty neat so far. Its like a mix of Fallout and Borderlands with some Devil May Cry combat.

I'm currently enjoying my new Series X with Game Pass. Psychonauts 2 was literally the first game played on my Series X and I couldn't feel more honored that this beauty of a game christened my new console! What a way to start Xbox's new gen. Also enjoying The Ascent!

I just beat that Panzer Dragoon Remake on Switch. Took like 45 minutes. I wasn't playing on hard though. Good times.

Might play Dragon Quest VII on 3DS next. Apparently it's like 73 hours long on HLTB

Vanquish on the PS3. Got my ass kicked on the first level so I turned on casual to get up to speed. I have to admit though, it didn't seem unfair. It just seemed like I was completely clueless. It's starting to make sense now though.(Just wanted to play a game with a lot of explosions.)

Skyrim 200 hours.

Done every quest. Got every uniques. Level 108. Got every home. Thane of every hold. Champion of every Daedra. Got every shout. On Legendary.

Now I feel empty. There’s still like a ton of places I haven’t gone to cause I have been strictly going from point A to point B without veering off the objective of each quest. Just trying to find motivation to keep on playing I guess.

Stuff I haven’t done yet
-finish 100+ thieves guild quest for every bobble in the guild desk.
-get all perks in the vampire skill tree. Significantly harder than the wolf one since you actually have to kill people while in Vampire Lord form unlike Werewolves where you can just eat the dead after you kill them normally.
-completely explore the map(all fast travel locations)
-Get to level 256 for all perks(gonna be a long one if done legit)
-become friends with everybody you can do radiant favors(chopping wood, gathering farm crops)
-Decorate every home. I just bought the homes, purchased every upgrade, gave money to my steward to decorate everything. I haven’t put sword or armors in racks or mannequins etc.
- Give every follower their own custom equipment.

I’ve thought of installing content mods but I dunno if they’re safe to install mid playthrough as the recent mods nowadays add a lot of scripts and can mess up with save files.

Jealous. I hope this gets a release on PSVR 2.
I'm hoping it does too.

Anyways, I've almost finished Yuko's Island Express that I recently got on sale for five bucks on PS5. It's really fun a I love the art style. Might go for 100% as it's not overly ridiculous with collecting stuff or exploration.

What time is it?
I started playing the worst version of A Hat In Time. Mafia Town was fun. Battle of the Birds is terrible. I kind of want to stop playing.

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
Well I finally tried the Resident Evil VIII demo, don't know if it counts, but I was underwhelmed. I know it was basically just a showpiece for their tech and not representative of the actual gameplay, but that was what the internet went wild over months back? And we only see the big vampire lady for like three seconds. Dudes were jerking it to that?

Still plugging along with Humankind - tried the multiplayer, took a long time to find a match, but it was much better playing real people rather than the CPU. The political maneuvering and betrayals made things exciting.

Started playing Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon again today. Beautiful games. Still getting into Horizon in the early stages but I'm loving GoT and fighting with the Straw Hats.

Going through RDR2 again - hopefully get the plat this time, and I used the gold bar glitch on my first run.
Also starting Returnal and this time engaging with it properly.

I will add Tales of Arise later this week. Also, strictly speaking, I am playing several other games but not as seriously or on hold due to too many current games I would rather play (CoD WW2 campaign for instance, even though it is short...) Borderlands 3 using the Omega Redux overhaul mod and another 3-4 games. I don't have ADD, just most of my games are very lengthy so I play for a few days then rotate to not burn out.

Also I just bought the Game of Thrones 4k (thanks PS5) collection a few weeks back and decided to join the rest of humanity and watch it, so not I can not worry about spoilers.

I have arrived in Athens now in AC Odyssey, which I assume will feature a large part of the story and side activities. I really enjoy this game, a lot. Ubi has essentially got rid of all of the annoying mechanics that I didn't like when I first played AC some 10 years ago. Odyssey is instead a fully fledged open world rpg with lots of customization and fast paced combat. The story is also interesting, with a religious cult spreading fear all over Greece. It's also an incredibly beautiful world to explore. Probably my favorite part of the game, along with the cool armor sets and weapons.
