Wow, how did I miss this gem of a game? This is the most immersive and complex RPG I've played probably ever, and I love it. It takes probably 10 hours to understand the game mechanics (and there are soooo many), but once it clicks you fall in love. I absolutely love how you can create insane builds and it feels like your imagination is the limit in class styles.

Great game, it's an isometric view which I don't love, but the game just has so many intertwining systems and possibilities, it's amazing really.

Indeed.. It is truly one of the greatest cRPG's ever made and easily the has the best modern mechanical systems in place. The freedom to fuck with the world is superb, combat is exploitable in some crazy ways and a lot of fun.

I strongly recommend trying a run on tactician -- it's a challenge well worth it if you really want to get into nitty gritty with the systems.

I had a rough time with this game. I think it may be because I played on Switch and it moved sooo slowly. I liked the first game a lot, but the second wore out my patience quickly.

I did eventually complete it, but it was exhausting.

Fired up blasphemous a few hours ago and just beat the second boss. Really digging it but I have no idea how to play these types of games. Am I supossed to just wander around until I hit a boss or cutscene?

Pathfinder: Kingmaker

Checked it out last night as I heard the sequel was imminent. I'm sure I had a look ages ago, but it's slick - the shadows, the UI, the presentation is extremely polished. Granted this is some sort of enhanced edition, which probably is substantially different from 1.0 but I'm impressed.

Just explore at your leisure, multiple paths will open naturally so there's always somewhere to go =)

I'm playing it as well atm, after a long hiatus. The parry window is larger and it makes all the difference. So much better than the 2 frame window at launch. Oh and I've set language to Spanish, pretty dope! Awesome post launch update

That whole catholic (?) theme is very unnerving to me...

I recently finished A Plague Tale: Innocence (which I enjoyed more than I thought I would, thanks Epic Games Store freebie!) and am now ~8 hours into Horizon Zero Dawn... which is pretty good now that things have opened up a little.

Just finished Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Really great game but some frustrating sections, especially the last mission.

Still in the beginning of Gun.

What time is it?
On my second playthrough (back-to-back) of Earth Defense Force 2 (Switch). I picked up A Hat In Time as well and will probably start that this weekend. I'm also thinking about buying Spirtfarer while it is on sale.

Azelover

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
I'm trying to finish Zelda: Oracle of Ages for the GBC. I'm almost at the end, and then I plan to tackle Oracle of Seasons.

It's a fantastic game. Even though they look visually similar, essentially it's very different from Link's Awakening. I'm having a lot of fun.

It's way better than I thought it would be.

I replaced my rinky-dink PC speakers with one of these, licensed DTS:X for Windows (which included the DTS: Headphones license / plug-in), now I need to find a game that supports it. It's looking like Gears 5 since I already own it, and I think it's still on Game Pass. I could reinstall Borderlands 3 to test it out but I am tired of that game. Forza Horizon 4 is only $6.99 but I don't have a wheel......

Currently wading through Horizon:ZD on ps5 with the patch. Several hours in and just finding it difficult to stay invested. I’m a little bummed. Hoping it clicks soon.

Just finished Jedi Fallen Order, Doom Eternal, and TLoU2 - all ps5 upgrades, and liked them all a lot, despite hating Doom at first. Ended up buying the dlc. Yay.

Now that I finished up the Call of Duty games that were picked up during the Steam sale (World at War and Infinite Warfare were my favorites), I've been playing Spec Ops: The Line for the first time (thanks to all the positive word of mouth). The graphics are out-dated but the gameplay is still solid. The sandstorm effects are really cool. It's a great game with some controversial choices, which I give them credit for. Pretty sure I'm close to the end.

*I didn't realize it was released in 2012. Thought it came out earlier than that.

Doom Eternal is amazing once it clicks. Pro tip unless something has changed Ancient God's Part 1 DLC is brutally hard even on easiest difficulty, you will realise the main game was just a tutorial. Part 2 for some reason is not as difficult.

I could not finish Fallen Order on PS5.. Got very far into it, maybe 75% but rage quit due to poor game design and some very bad bugs I encountered.

HZD I also quit after about 8 hours. I actually went back to it 3 or 4 times thinking it's just me, it's just boring to me. Always forcing myself to play it. It still leaves me confused as to why considering the praise and success.

Humankind

Wow, is this baby good. Firaxis has spent year after year, for many years, barely iterating upon Civ and it shows. Even their large, expensive DLC's don't tend to really add much to the game, and the core experience from Neolithic to future age really hasn't changed much in over a decade. Humankind takes an entirely fresh approach, adding a narrative (with an actual narrator) component and delivering fresh takes on age-old simulation mechanisms and mechanics that feel appropriate and worthwhile. And it looks and sounds fucking gorgeous running at 1440p with the highest settings.

For those of you longtime Civ fans, who have sat in discussion forums complaining about issues with the game, theorycrafting with other fans about what kinds of changes the franchise needs, and what kind of things could be added to make the experience just feel better overall - for a decade - well Amplitude Studios actually did it, and more, and it's on Game Pass (and only $49.99 on Steam). Get that shit, rub it all over your body.

Sr3 remastered.

I forgot how much i missed a juvenile, vulgar and crazy ass game like this one, having a great time with it even if it's buggy as hell, the humor is literal fresh air during these politically correct modern times.

Is the 4th game really that different? A lot of people didn't liked that one...

Felt like a quick Zelda fix so I started up another playthrough of Link's Awakening. Just made it to the Dark World.

I'm also training cooking, fletching, and farming in Old School Runescape.

It's a far west game and you can count the total number of modern far west games in the hand of a glovesless proctologist who only visit lepers.

Are you convinced enough?!

Not really.. But all that leper anal shit turned me on for some reason..

Psychonauts.
Poorly emulated(?) ps2 version on Ps4.
I never finished on the ps2 back in the day because of the infamous "Meat Circus" stage.
I plan to right that wrong as Psychonauts 2 looks incredible 😁

Was playing Dead Space 2 + Ghost of Tsushima + Skyward Sword but decided to start Psychonauts 2 as well because I'm a big wally. Really enjoying the latter since I got the IQ looking hot as fuck. This is despite not being able to play it at 60fps for some reason on my HW, its not shader stutters, its just constant terribad-framepacing on my machine so I ended up locking to 30 which isn't too bad because the games inherent input lag is minimal to begin with, its just a shame because the game at 1440p with good AA + sharpening doesn't look very far from native 4K at all in terms of detail due to the artstyle and I would've sacrificed that extra resolution to get 60fps, but not if its running shit like it has been for me. I only tested the lobby of the starting area though, might be fine elsewhere, was tired of tweaking and just wanted to play at that point though.

Actually, friend is coming over today so may end up finishing It Takes Two finally, more likely though we'll play Bugsnax instead, thats been good fun to laugh at together.

Oh and I reinstalled Cloud Gardens because it hit 1.0, I'm hoping they fixed some of the minor annoyances in it, sometimes I had no idea why I didnt pass the level despite doing everything I could and other times I felt like I just placed shit randomly and won in 60 seconds. I think the randomness is a part of the meandering, relaxing nature of the game though so its forgiveable in this case.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Still playing retro games, right now going through Jet Force Gemini in the N64. I loved this game as a kid and was kinda scared of ruining the nostalgia by playing it again now, but far from that, I've found it's a great game. It has some flaws, like the lack of enemy variety and the constant frame drops, but it doesn't really matter when the action is fun, the exploration interesting and the music so damn good.

Also some races here and there in F-Zero X. All I can say here is holy shit, game's great. So great that I've promised myself to not buy another Nintendo console until they release a new one.

I don't remember any dark world in Link's Awakening. Do you mean A Link to the Past?

Just completed Persona 5 Strikers on Normal.. on PS5. Started Merciless difficulty, now with Japanese VA - and got immediately killed on first battle lol.

I am comparing English VA vs Japanese VA on this - and I actually like English VA on most main characters, except Makoto.
Makoto in english VA tone sounds sometimes like physically old lady, not some 19 year old girl for some reason - but ever so slightly.

Not sure if I like Sophie's JP voice - it kinda reminds me of young boy VA often done in Japanese Anime.
I guess the gender doesn't really matter as per what Sophie is. English Sophie though, does sometimes sound a bit cringy or baby-like, that sometimes wanted to turn the voice off on the shops.

Hoping to finish this up by this weekend - Not really sure if I am going to finish the whole game again, but I am gunning for platinum trophy. Figured that this game is all about summer vacation - finishing by labor day would just make sense. :)

I did hear that Switch version does have much longer loading - so I'm actually glad that I went ahead and played on PS5 with much faster loading. It does load quite a bit on coming in and out of jails and all - and all that repeated grinding - I'm sure it would have affected my patience.
