Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Playing some more Outer Worlds: Spacers Choice.

I kinda dig how they just cranked up the contrast to 200%, gives some places a very vibrant look where they were muted before.

The frame rate on this version is shit tho, the original version is the much better playing and arguably looks 95% the same.

Just before receiving my PS5 Pro, I platinumed FFVII Remake (~80 hours). I then got all the trophies on the FFVII Remake: Episode INTERmission (~25 hours). And just now, on the PS5 Pro, I platinumed FFVII Rebirth (~240 hours). My journey through Rebirth was a grueling and arduous endeavor, but I got through it. I can definitively say that achieving the platinum on Rebirth is leagues more difficult than that of any FromSoftware / souls-like title. Also, the graphics on the PS5 Pro are amazing (clean and super sharp), the combat is top-notch (best in the franchise), and the voice-acting/cutscenes is master-class. I will be in eager anticipation of the arrival of the third and final part of the series.

The Witcher 3 on PC (going for all achievements). I beat it on the PS4 years ago but didn't touch the DLC.

Now, I'm revisiting it on PC to experience the enhanced visuals and smoother performance. It's like rediscovering the game all over again.

The game is absolutely sublime.

Ow, and fuck this achievement:

Playing the recently purchased GT7 and will play Stellar blade Ng+ again, for the Christmas updates. Might go back to HD 2 this week end and activate infinity Nikki.

Quake 2 Remastered

Wow, tell you something - Hard is actually hard now..! They've made tweaks to the AI and all sorts, making it a decent challenge compared to the original.

Did you take a living room shot of you getting the platinum trophy? How far back are you gaming from that monster TV?

I will finally attempt The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I am tempted to make a topic since it is a game worthy of one.

I'm growing frustrated with Path of Exile II very early on as a Monk. Maybe I'll try an Archer.

Jewel Match: Atlantis Solitaire - Collector's Edition is still in full swing. I'm somewhere around level 55 in the main mode. I play Match 2 and Supersize levels in between.

Jewel Match Atlantis Solitaire - Collector's Edition on PS5

I am at Level 55 in the main mode, Relaxed difficulty, and it's still getting tough.

This game is so chill. I love the Supersize levels, and the Match-2 levels.
The scenes are nice; it's awesome how you can turn off the HUD and just watch the scene and the fish.
And there is soo much content in terms of levels.
Bonus levels to unlock Fish got real hard, real fast.
I even got it on sale, making it that much better. I would've paid full price had I known I would enjoy it this much!

Path of Exile 2 Early Access on PS5

My level 8 Witch is doing well enough against most mobs, but stronger mobs and most bosses are trouble. I'm running a Chaos and Contagion Wand, with Battling Sceptre Skeleton Warrior Minions and a Bow Minion. The decent loot is sparse in this., it seems. I'm at the Graveyard in a Tomb and a boss is beating on me.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS5

I, uh, was going to start it but you know, um, I uh, well you see I sort of-
Yeah the Witch got me before the Witcher!

Rolled credits on Steelrising a few days ago. Really enjoyed my time with it, was fun as a game and as a means of 'historical-tourism'. Especially listening to a podcast on the French Revolution as a companion piece (and realizing almost every character was decapitated in real life). I'm very tempted to do some NG+ because it has some nice additions. Experience ("Anima Essence") gains are dramatically increased and caps on weapons and stats are lifted, so it seems like you can really evolve your build. And also, to clean up the remaining trophies.

My biggest complaint would honestly be how boring the name is. Basteel would've been so much more fun (although, perhaps that clashes a bit with the serious tone of the game). They could totally follow it up with a sequel titled 'Napoliron'.

Got no new games to follow it up with yet (still waiting on a collectors edition for Metaphor Refantazio that I'm hoping will actually arrive), so I think I'll stay with my current batch of Space Marine 2, FF7 Rebirth Hard Mode, and the NG+ mode for Steelrising a bit. And maybe also a bit more Hollow Knight.

I think I'll drop Lies of Pi. I'm at some Boss, Laxasia or something, which is honestly just cheap bullshit. Usually my tolerance for such bullshit is very high, but this game just lost me I guess. The last 10 hours or so were mostly a drag already - the areas basically all look and feel the same. There's zero sense of exploration anymore. There's no part of me that wants to continue playing this, sadly.

At 10 hours this game was brilliant, at 20 it was great, at 30 it's meh. Really glad I played this with gamepass.

Starting Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, starting off good.

also Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, its okay...but geez, playing it on the switch. There's sooo many loading screens every little thing, really slows everything down.

I finally just started up Wukong. Man, that opening sequence is amazing. I love the fantastic designs that come with this kind of story, I actually got really hyped when Chinese Goku jumped on his Kintoun :D Whole thing felt almost like a UE tech demo, and I mean this in the most positive way. From the menu screen transitioning into the real game without any loading, everything looked amazing and played great too, switching back and forth between cutscenes and gameplay seamlessly.

Excited to play this since I have no idea how much I'll actually end up liking this, but we're off to a great start.

Fantasian Neo Dimension - (Switch): Has a really old school vibe to it, reminds me a lot of JRPG's in the PS1 era, battle system is not over complicated, but has a few cool ideas, like being able to curve certain magic/abilities (to hit multiple enemies etc.), being able to like "stock" random battles for later is a cool feature as well (just be mindful about how many enemies you have stored away lol). Some of the bosses have just wrecked me until i figured out their "gimmick". Currently stuck at the battle with "Robo Organizer Complete" just can't seem to do enough damage.. and he hits hard and fast. Might have to go back a grind a little. But over all a really cool game.

Finished playing Silent Hill 2 just in time for the holidays. Happy to have finally been able to experience the game. Think Bloober has done a fantastic job on it. I remember playing the Medium a year ago and posting on here saying I was very interested in seeing how they would do with Silent Hill, considering the similarities in the dual worlds etc. Final product absolutely oozed atmosphere and at times scary as shit. 17 hours of constant dread and I loved it. Feel like there is a lot to unpack storywise and will probably replay to get some other endings.

But for now I'm planning on playing some games on the Switch, some more easy and jolly stuff, starting with Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. I avoided it for years based on what I had heard but I’m having a good time with it. It’s worth the 80% off sales price.

Personally, not the game I would have picked as your first entry into the franchise, but I hope you have fun.

Please don't let any negative experience you might have with the AI paint a picture for the rest of the franchise :p

I don't like the zombie genre.
I've always disliked everything I've seen from the Resident Evil series.
That's specifically why I chose RE5. Because it didn't look to be similar to any of the other games.

I'm "Watching" Dragons Dogma 2 install and update on Xbox series X.
Taking for fucking ever.
My fault for updating during peak Internet usage I suppose.
Fuck.

What time is it?
Patched STALKER 2 yesterday, played through the intro, was prompted for another patch today, decided to give Nine Sols a whirl instead. Like with most games I try these days, I quickly got that Oh, it's one of these feelings in my gut. Gaming fatigue has certainly set in for me.

Bought and tried Blue Revolver on the Steam sale. I'm more of a casual SHMUP fan and while it seems well made with some depth to the scoring system that hardcore players will love, the visuals feel so flat and I actively hate the music. Cave's games and more recently, Battle Garegga, grab my attention immediately and this just isn't my cup of tea. Caves of Qud is next.

After a couple of hours of RE5, the AI is not a problem. Sheva is quite valuable.
The camera and controls are far below reasonable gameplay standards, though.
This one needs a remake with an overhauled control scheme.

Wukong wasn't really what I was looking for in a game right now, so I put that back on hold. I played Chapter 1 and kinda liked that, but Chapter 2 is a desert (deserts are trash-tier "biomes") which puts me off already but then again the movement didn't really click with me yet. Also chapter 1 felt very railroaded, so I wasn't really "exploring" it as much as I was goshing over how pretty it looked, and fighting like a bazillion bosses along the relatively short way (like 5 or so?). And since I prefer exploring much over boss fights I'll go back to this eventually.

I'm going to start with Cyberpunk now instead. Don't know if I'll play that longer, I have no clue as to what expect in terms of writing, which kinda makes or breaks the game. I'm not too optimistic sadly, allthough I do remember liking Witcher 3 a lot. Any recommended Mods by chance? I'm looking through Nexus currently.

So, this is crappy. I'm stuck on lvl 55 of the main mode. I had to try a few levels over a few times, but nothing like this or even close. Considering that there are a few hundred levels, I don't see why this particular point is so rough. I get to maybe within a few cards of winning sometimes, but often it's defeat in the early to midgame.

Any Match 3 fans out there? I just picked up the Season Match bundle of 3 games. I never played them. Is there a best of the bunch to look for?
