Ah I see. An instant permaban seems super harsh for that imho. I agree with the above poster about bringing them back.Check the entire thread and you'll know.

Why? Did they get charged but not receive Gold despite contacting the admins? If so, that's the first I've heard of it.
Other than that my point still stands. If the downtime was measured in a week or more a year, sure I'd see good reason for being pissed off. It's not though, is it.

I don't think anyone is pissed off and you're the only one trying to prove some kind of point here.
Wouldn't you agree that it would be nice to have a info on why a paid service is down and when it's expected to go back online? It doesn't matter if it's an hour, half a day, a day or a week. It's a matter of principle.
Or maybe I'm just weird like that.
Yeah but whatever, at the end of the day it's their house, their rules.

To be fair, there was a banner message at the top of the page saying the site would be down for 12 hours. The banner was there long before the site went down.
If I gift you gold, will you STFU?I don't think anyone is pissed off and you're the only one trying to prove some kind of point here.

Got 'em!Please no, I hate that instant notifications nonsense. It's easy to just say STFU. Easier than to stop and to think how to improve everyone's user experience.
Got 'em!
I believe he's not the first.Forcing NeoGAF Gold on someone against their will... now I've seen it all haha
You might even say: DeepEnigma just 'improved' my user experience.
Nah, the guilty must suffer. No backsies. If I ever get banned for shit (which is not that unlikely tbh), I'd still wouldn't want it any other way.EviLore please can @Patrick S. and Fuz get a month or two ban instead of a permanent ban? I'm sure they regret pushing there luck and would apologise given the chance. It's a shame to see long term members disappear.
I thought Patrick got banned for the Tyrone thing about the guy who stole copies of Starfield?Tell that to people who subscribed to Gold the day GAF went down. It's not about SLAs, because let's be honest, there are none, but about principle. But whatever, no point in discussing it further.
Check the entire thread and you'll know.

Hm, maybe. I guess that's what usually a temporary ban is for? I dunno what transpired but I think the cops wouldn't ban someone permanently without reason. We just need to separate people that troll and never had intention to discuss over people that are either mid joke or having a bad day.

I do not know either of them, but I will also like to request review for this situation. I hope I can stick around as long as they have.
I'm with the motion to bring back Fuz once he's learned his lesson. Long time members should receive some affection for spending much of their lives here.

IMO The dumbass remark is uncalled for even when you’re joking. I hated it when people did that to me, especially when they call me “buddy”. I don’t do that to people. If I call someone that, it’s never going to get the same reaction. It doesn’t fit my character.I've said worse things and Im far more of an asshole than them and still got warning/month ban. Cmon EviLore , they really dont deserve perm...no one deserves perm unless they spam absolute hateful illegal shit...
We all know Evilore runs the site and makes the rules but I don't think there's anything wrong with the community voicing their opinion when they think a punishment was overkill (as long as everyone is respectful about it). Everyone has bad days and mercy is not weakness, imho.I back the movement to only temp ban these guys but I also respect the decision and I don't think nagging is gonna help.
