The last few years saw an interesting trend emerge for long running franchises - they were transformatively rebooted, completely rethought from the ground up, and then followed up on by iterative sequels that expanded on that, creating these "reboot duologies". We had three of them -the Zelda open air games, the God of War Norse games, and the Resident Evil first person games.

Which of them would you say is the best, and why?

The only answer is Zelda...

Zelda by a wide margin.

The only competition in the poll for me would be RE, but I don’t like that they’ve gone first person at all.

I like all the games mentioned above, beside GOW tho, i dont like GOW...

On otherside, BoTW and ToTK, is longer and bigger than usual Zelda, which is akin to my liking.

Zelda was an interesting change.
GOW became TLOU.
Resident Evil is already moving away from their new direction.
But DOOM? DOOM is eternal. id revitalised an entire genre, re-created an iconic character, landed one of the best soundtracks of all time, and proved to the world they're still the best at what they do. No competition.

I mean, RE was easily the most drastic improvement in terms of quality. Never thought we'd go from 5/6 and the Rev games to having a string of legit arguably the best games in the series.

Zelda was still good before. God of War was IMO a downgrade. Doom is hard because I'm one of those freaks who loved 3. My vote goes to RE.
