What is the most quotable movie of all time?

Terminator 2 has to be the right answer. Some of the most famous quotes from any films.

My was going to be Pulp Fiction, because I could quote most of it.

Some of the thread's suggestions I've never even seen, and a few I've never even heard of. These need to be iconic.
Fuck all that

DIE HARD

Some good suggestions have been made, but the real answer is Monty Python and the Holy Grail

kung pow enter the fist

THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!

Besides that, any movie with Schwarzenegger will do. There's two 10 minute videos on youtube only with fantastic quotes from him. "Remember Sully, when I promised to kill you last?" - "I lied.". Amazing stuff right there.

I'll be back
Hasta la Vista, baby
I need your guns, your boots and your motorcycle
No fate but what we make for ourselves
Holy shit
Fuck

Terminator 2 of course.
My CPU is a neural net processor, a learning computer
I swear I will not kill anyone
I need a vacation

I'll say it again, the only correct answer is RoboCop.
Want proof? Here are some random quotes from the movie. Bet most of you will remember the scenes.
"Come quietly or there will be trouble."
"I like it!"
"Can you fly Bobby?"
"I got him Clarence! I got him!"
"I fucking love that guy!"
"Your move creep."

And that's just a small sample.

Probably any Schwarzenegger film out there. With Terminator 2 topping the list.

Also gotta agree with those citing Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Ghostbusters, Pulp Fiction, and The Big Lebowski. OG Star Wars trilogy also works as well.

Will also vouch that the Batman (in particular: Batman 89, TDK, and B&R - dem ice puns <3) and Spider-Man movies (Sam Ramai trilogy) are also very quotable. Pretty sure some MCU films (first Iron Man, first Avengers, and GotG) are also up there too by this point.

There's also some pretty quotable animated movies. Though as of the moment, I can only think of Toy Story, Shrek 1 & 2, and Space Jam.

i don't know what movie i've quoted most overall, but the biggest discrepancy between how much i like a movie and how much i've quoted it has to be the case of Dark Knight Rises. oh my god i've found so many excuses to say lines from that movie. i don't really think it's very good but it has so many fun melodramatic lines.

To me and my extended friend group it's the first 3 Fast and Furious movies

"it's not how you stand by your car, its how you race your car"

"Brian Earl Spilner? sounds like a serial killers name? is that what you are?"

"like i said, we hungry"

"You know what D.K stands for? Donkey Kong?"

"I like the tuna here"
-Fast and the Furious

I get its not for everybody, and that's okay.

"Bullshit, asshole, no one likes the Tuna here"

This guy gets it

The Fast and The Furious

Dude I almost had you
You almost had me? You never had me. You never had your car

I can probably quote that entire movie. Each line is unintentionally hilarious.

"Granny shifting not double clutching like you should"

This guy also gets it

Am I really going to be the first person to come in here and say Snatch?

For shame gaf, for shame.

Monty Python and the quest for the Holy grail is a valid answer too.

No other movie comes close to a film that me and my friends have quoted over in HS. Even in our 30s, we still know this movie dialog off the top of our heads.

No one has said Casablanca yet?

"Here's looking at you, kid"
"We'll always have Paris"
"Round up the usual suspects"
"I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship"
"Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walls into mine."

Jesus, I'm thinking about it and it really fuckin is The Big Lebowski. I say shit from The Big Lebowski all the time and I'm not even a particularly big fan of the movie. Like half a dozen lines from that movie are pretty much standard American idioms now.

The Big Lebowski is a good shout

But I can't believe Snatch hasn't been mentioned yet. Crammed with classics.

'Who took the jam outta your doughnut?'
'You took the fuckin jam outta my doughnut Tommy'

Outstanding.

Anchorman used to get a lot of mileage when it came out too

Vatos Locos forever, ese!

What the hell is chon-chon supposed to be, though? I mean the literal meaning & translation.

People around me always say is something like "ese culito/your ass" as in the context of the scene Popeye was going to rape Miklo

I think there's kind of multiple interpretations to this question. I'm seeing it as "movies with lines most often invoked in daily casual conversation" but another read is like "movies with the most satirized/referenced scenes or moments."

This is a good one.

But the best)most quoted movie has to be The Godfather. Just off the top of my head, i can think of these quotes from The Godfather:

"I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse."
"Leave the gun, take the cannoli."
"Fredo -- you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever".
"Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes."
"Never ask me about my business"
"This is business. Not personal"

It's 2017. The only people who pick up on Casablanca references are those who live n the alleys behind abandoned Blockbuster stores.
