As long as questions are being asked about GAF and the community, how does someone not be a "junior member"?

-Have an account for 90 days (from account creation, not account activation)
-Make 300 posts
Just post in topics you like, avoid anything controversial, and just make middling, unoffensive posts. You should be fine![]()
Really? Has this always been the case? The length requirement is actually 6 months.

No, 90 days since registration is the number to reach along with 300 posts.

There is truth in that post. I give it a pass. For example, avoid posting like this.

I'm mostly setting it as an example because if anything, Nintendo is reverse-Apple. And finding small truths doesn't vilify something.
Well no, finding truth in something is basically the opposite of the term "vilify". Conversely, randomly linking to it in this thread as some sort of stealth report/rallying cry would be vilifying it.I'm mostly setting it as an example because if anything, Nintendo is reverse-Apple. I've been to that topic and compared to some straight-up bullshit being posted, that post in particular was one that presented its case rather well without resorting to straight up insults or simplistic answers .
It's clear you don't agree with it, but that's kind of the point of an internet forum. You're not going to come across with things only you agree with. There's really nothing ban-worthy in that post at all.

I wouldn't call it a "small truth" either, nor would I call Nintendo "reverse-Apple if anything", particularly since the context here is mindshare and fan behavior. But discussing the veracity of what the poster is saying is straying off topic.
Oh I know. But sometimes people, particularly run of the mill juniors, tend to lack context on what they post.
This second post bothers me a bit more. Using "it doesn't click with me anymore" is a legitimate argument, but then simply using it as a basis for a general reason is poor. And using the "I grew up with" is a very horrible attempt to make your argument better (as I said in that thread, it's almost equivalent with "I'm not racist but").
Why don't you PM the member directly with your grievances. It doesn't even sound like you're trying to characterize it as bad or ban-worthy posting any more. It's just seems Ike the poster's opinion cut deeply.
That post adds to the conversation, so it's fine by me. You can agree or disagree with the point that was made, but the important thing is that the poster took the time explain her opinion rather than dropping a provocative remark and high-stepping out of the thread. For example, avoid posting like this.

1. Don't have an avatar.
Blame Space lost.
I see this a lot. Do mods actually find it more difficult to keep tabs on users without avatars than those with avatars?
I've noticed that I get less responses from my thorough insights on a myriad on subjects when I turn off my avatar.Doesn't everyone have more trouble remember users without avatars? I think a lot of people here use avatars as a shorthand to remember who people are as they scroll down a page.
Though I am still not quite sure what revived this topic.
changing avatars is cool.
Probably some truth to it, as it's more visual stimulation than not having one. Like how mods and admins stand out because of their red names.
changing avatars is cool.
I know, right? I had never noticed you (sorry) before you became a mod.Mmhm. I noticed a change in the last month and a half.
