What is your body idol, and how close are you to it?

Nowhere close to either

Tom Hardy in Warrior!

Unfortunately I have Pectus Carinatum but I suppose that could be almost covered if I had his physique.

I want to be what you might call "skinny fit". Kinda like this guy.

I don't want arms the size of tree trunks, I don't need to look like I belong on the cover of Men's Fitness. I want to be relatively thin and toned as fuck.

As for how close I am...I've been dieting and going to the gym for 7 weeks now, so I'm getting there. I am naturally pretty skinny (although I built a gut over years of shitty eating).

The theory I am putting in practice right now is that if I approach my workout/diet like I'm cutting from day 1, I can get the results I want without having to bulk first. We'll see what happens. So far, I like what I'm seeing. (I'm also using stretches to correct some wicked APT, which is paying dividends.)

looking at this thread..people want such unnatural looking bodies.. to me thats like looking at a face full of botox and saying I WANT THAT!

I'm not there, and I'm way hairier. But that's the body I'd want.

Stole my post. I'm not hairy, and I'm nowhere near this, but gimme it.

The huge muscley beefcake guys are so gross. I'm all about dat lean.

Alternatively, I'll take that chick's body a couple posts up.

Wishing to resemble someone else's body is bound to lead to disappointment. Work hard and be the best you. I guarantee after 5 years of hard deidcated work in the gym and the kitchen you will never think about looking like someone else.

I think the point is more the 'body type' and not to mimic the entire body down to the last inch.

I don't see what's wrong about using someone else's body as a reference when it comes to lose weight/training as long as it is a realistic goal.

Fair enough. However, some types are unachievable due to many factors and many examples posted in this thread were achieved with years of HGH, Tren, Dbol, ect... I hope people are aware of this.

This thread really shows how much the body pressure is going for both genders. Honestly I can't say any of the pictures posted on the first page is any appealing to me.
I'd rather look at a realistically fit/decent looking guy than a lift-monster who looks like he eats steroids every hour. It's just way too much.

It doesn't have to be much, just enough to show that they take care of themselves and care about their health. Each to their own, I guess. Honestly the bigger the guy is in terms of muscles, the more of a douche he looks like. ._.

Something like Indy in Temple of Doom.

Been lifting three times a week and swimming and running in-between, so hopefully sometime this year.
