What is your body idol, and how close are you to it?

Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

I'm terribly of of shape now, but I pretty much looked like that for years. I guess that's what happens when you settle down haha.

How would one go about getting this skinny fit look?

The problem is not even achieving that . Is maintaining it.

That's just a low fat % body with consistent exercise.

I end up looking like this

one day ...

This guy works out at the same boutique gym / personal trainer (well one of my trainers) as me. I think he only goes there when he's filming in Vancouver, as I've only seen him there a couple weeks, or maybe he goes at different times as I'm in there in the mornings only.

I actually worked out right beside him. I didn't know who he was until my trainer was talking about watching Arrow and I was wondering what made him interested in the show. Still haven't seen an episode yet personally.

EDIT - He didn't look as impressive as that gif quoted, but he was wearing normal workout clothes and I think I catch him on movement days then strength.

I'm genuinely surprised at how many people want to look like competitive body builders. Anyway, count me in for Brad Pitt in fight club but with like 10% more chest.

No real body idol. I have a weird shape.

As long as my weights are progressing and I'm around 12-15% BF I don't care if I look like Bale, Evans, or Norton. I want to feel good and being extremely fit (nearly chubby right now) is the best approach at feeling that well.

I don't have a solid idea in mind yet. I've been fat all my life, so I started lifting last year to finally get fit. Got down to 19ish% body fat last year, but I knew I'd never sustain any weight loss over Christmas so I leaned into it and bulked for a few weeks. Grew some traps out of nowhere, and my pecs are coming in nicely, but I'm still too fat to really have any idea what my body actually looks like underneath it all so I've got no idea what I can realistically aim for. Back to cutting down to the low teens.

Pie in the sky, though? Ain't nobody can wear a t-shirt like Cap:

Jillian Michaels. And hell no. I'm in good shape, but I'm not blessed with really defined looking abs, despite having a flat, can't pinch and inch, firm stomach.

I would like to extend an invite to all of the members who are ready to go on the Muscle Quest to check out the GAF Fitness thread. Team effort to reach the end game.

Also remember, the day you start lifting is the day you feel forever small.

Rob McElhenney / Mac from Always Sunny when he tacked on a lot of mass. I'm halfway there.

Currently my goal as well, until I convince myself to do cardio the day after lifting. I was running 4 days a week until I got a trainer (who's fucking awesome, and really teaching me right.) Problem is, now I'm less motivated to run when my legs kinda burn. So at least bulk up around my chub.

Though my tum tum isn't quite that pronounced.

Chris Hemsworth

How close I am: lol

Everybody wanna look like a superhero. It's doable, but the work it takes...man. Hemsworth was eating like 6k calories a day for one of his movies because he was burning it.

Anyway, the Brad Pitt look that everyone posted is about where I'm aiming. Just need to find the right diet. 5'10", 175. My squat suffered a little bit this past winter so I'm at 275, the bench is still at 225, but my deadlift went up to 345 recently so I'm happy about that.

So many muscular guys! I'm not a guy and I don't want to be muscular. And I'm not really attracted to muscular macho guys. They scare me.

But one person I really want to look like is Jaye Davidson.

I looked up Jaye Davidson in Google. And oh my goodness, he had like the perfect body type in this picture!

Also, Andrej Pejic is a little taller than I would like to be. But she's beautiful!
There's another picture I like of her more. But she's topless, and I don't know if that's okay.

I also wish I had a face and pretty as Ai Kago.
And I wish I was as short as her, too. Though, she's more curvy than I would like to be.

And I also wish I was as cute and petite and Momoko Tsugunaga.

I also also wish I was as cute as E.Via.

I also idolize lots of anime characters and wish I looked like them.

I want to look like Hina or Extra Z-001 or Hibachi from DoDonPachi.

Except that she's a little curvier than I want to be.

I would also like to look like Roll from Mega Man. And lots of other characters!

I'm almost where I want to be. Mark Whalberg is my same height and has the same broad shoulders i have, right now im about a month of cutting away from looking like his body type.

A lot of you guys want to look way too big in my opinion. Nothing better than some quality, lean muscle.

Though it is your body, so of course do what you want with it.

Well, I DID want to be like this:

But that was before I found out that women aren't really a fan of that look. Instead they prefer someone looking like this jerk:

According to this study anyway. Now don't get me wrong, Brad's a good looking dude, but he doesn't even appear to have much of a chest in that pic. He looked way better here:

I would love to have this body, but my slim frame isn't anywhere near his (wide frame) so it won't work. But one can dream: Chris Evans

So more realistically, this is my ideal body: Adam Levine - lean with definition

This is me last summer at my leanest 10% BF. I am now more at 14% and need to lean down again before summer hits. I miss my abs and need to build more chest.

So you look like that, but would rather look like adam Levine??

diet and nothing but arms, chest, and abs

this is partially correct, but you forgot the most important part, HIIT and legs. Your glutes to ur thighs to your quads are ur biggest muscle group, the better you maintain those muscles, the better you are at burning fat. It's all about caloric deficit, plyometric HIIT(once or twice a week), and light enough weights to get a lot of reps in, but heavy enough to challenge you.
