I just started Trails of Cold Steel II. After beating the first game today, I immediately started this game. The first game was amazing. Loved it.

Have Final Fantasy XV logged at 41 hours now only at chapter 6, loving it.
Replaying Breath of Fire 2 as well, I am not bothered by the encounter rate as much now for some reason. I love how when you move just an inch too far from the current area the monsters are so much stronger

Kinda fizzled out on Xenosaga Episode 2. I just got to Old Miltia and just can't muster up the resolve to play lol.
Started my Dragon Quest V run back up instead and have been pretty addicted. Picked Debora as my wife and I'm currently at Battenburg. Game is a lot more fun once you get married and have a party member to party chat with. Find myself seeking out every NPC in a new area just to see how Debora reacts to them all.
I have exactly three weeks before my break ends. Hopefully I can get through these few games before then. Looking to finish

I'm playing Xanadu Next and The Last Story. Both are really good.
Also going back and forth to Persona 4G, but while it's a good game, it never sucks me in to the point I won't stop playing for a while. I'm only 15 hours in since months ago. It starts really strong but then it gets kind of boring.

Near the end of Grandia II. It's been fun for 30 hours, but I'm hoping it ends soon. The battles are nice but the game is too easy to need strategy on the regular battles. Only exciting moments are the boss fights. Spell animations are a bit long as well, so I need my phone with me when I play this.

Nice! How are you liking CSII so far? I binged on Cold Steel II in September.
As for me...a mix of Rune Factory 4 and Bravely Second on the jrpg front. I like RF4 for giving a lot to do, Bravely Second is also a good pick up and play game and the voice acting gives it a light, innocent feel among the party (speaking as someone who has played through a good chunk of Chapter 1).
Almost finished with Tales Of Xillia Jude side. I'm loving this game alot more than I thought I would considering how GAF always said it's the worst Tales or something.
Interesting to note is that this game reminds me alot of FFXIII in terms of how it delivers the story.
Except Xillia does it better, and even managed to be less anime than FFXIII lol.

This game is the perfect example of seeing how far one can go with such a limited amount of assets. It's a shame since the core combat is a blast. I dare say it's better than Star Ocean 5 at least.

Having a bit of a break for the holiday and traveling away from the PC/console has made this the perfect time to start Dragon Quest VII on 3DS.

I only got 1 hour into it. I'm really liking it so far. Due to winter break, and being busy with visiting friends and family, I haven't been able to play the second game as much as I wanted to. I know next month, I'm going to start binging on this game. I only played a little of TITS, so those two titles are on my to beat list next year ^^
Other than Dragon's Crown and Digital Devil Saga, I also went back to Tales of the Abyss 3D.
All my saves in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth got corrupted. 25 hours down the drain. Not replaying on the Vita. Might get the PS4 version some day.
I'm doing side stuff in DDS, before tackling the last dungeon.
In Dragon's Crown, I have collected more than half the talismans.
In TotA, I have 1/3 left of the game.
In other words, steady progress in most of the games that I am currently playing.

I started Digital Devil Saga 2 yesterday, the setting feels different from the first game at the moment, but the gameplay is the same for now. Excited to hear more music from Meguro
Not playing, but watching my girlfriend play Xenosaga Vol. I. The cutscenes, script and combat are awesome, but outside of combat the game is seriously just wandering through spaceship hallways. The email stuff feels really tacked on. The lack of music also hurts it (though the music that is in there is very, very good).

I'm still ever slowly making my way through Shin Megami Tensei 1 on the iOS port.
I love the choices which alter the path of the game. I wish more JRPGs would do this. SMT1 definitely shows its age, but it's been enjoyable so far. Interesting to see the early version of the demon system.

Super Mario RPG. Started my first run this morning. Four bosses deep. It's way more straight forward that I thought it would be, but still pretty fun.
Finished Final Fantasy I for the first time recently (Origins version) and it was EXTREMELY hard, but pretty interesting. It's way more about resource management than combat complexity. I kinda regretted not playing on easy but somehow I made it.
Started FFV right after and I'm having a great time! The difficulty is just right, and the job system is tons of fun to mess around with. I can't wait to get more to start doing crazy job combinations to break the game.
Story and characters are kinda cute too. I'm mad at myself that I slept on this for so long.

I am doing a 100% play-through of the Xenosaga Trilogy. Currently about halfway through the first game and I love it, the cast is fantastic and the music is soooo good.
I played the games when they came out and wanted to play them again after reading some mentions about the game in my twitter during PSX (no remasters make me sad).
These posts have convinced me to go ahead and buy xenosaga, I've gone back and forth about doing so since completing xenogears.
I also loved the early 00s scifi electro of the early PS2 era, those feelings that capture the dawn of the PS2 generation era. I've had the UMD theme on my hard drive for years.
I rented this at release without much desire to continue any further, I hope I'll appreciate Xenosaga more after xenogears but not wanting to get my hopes up.
Where should my expectations be?

Hmm... I think you should go in open minded and expecting a slow and patient relationship.
I beat FFXV, did the majority of sidequests but still want to do the postgame dungeon only accessible by airship before I call it a day.

Fantastic game.
Loved the world, story and characters and the gameplay is very solid.

Decided to finally see what all the fuss is about with the Shin Megami Tensei series and picked up SMT IV: Apocalypse. Now I can't put it down!
Finally finished Persona 4 Golden. Took me about 1.5 years and 60 hours of playtime. I often found it intimidating because I knew how much time was still ahead of me and I was also really paranoid about making the wrong decisions about how to spend my social time each day.
I dedicated myself to getting through it this holiday break and loved every minute of it.. very sad to move on from that cast of characters. Amazing game. Managed to get the True Ending too.

- Beat FFXV: 7/10 for story mode. 8/10 or so for everything beyond that because I'm still chewing through that.
- playing Front Mission 4 and possibly Final Fantasy Tactics. Hopefully, I can beat Tactics before Zodiac Age comes.

Lost odyssey . Still after all these years it's one of my favorites . I still tear up during the dreams and kaim has to be one of the most interesting characters ever in a jrpg due to his ability and history . Playing final fantasy 15 and genuinely disliking itmade me realize I won't get games like LO anymore so I'm glad I'm still able to play again and get all the achievements on my Xbox one. After all is said and done I'll pick up Blue Dragon next . Never played it and heard very positive reviews .

Really want to get disk copies of the trilogy but the prices are insane still. Really hope they atleast put them out on PSN.
Personally Ive been palying:
FFXV Endgame and about 4-5 hours into FFX HD PS4.
Playing Persona 5. After Tokyo Mirage #FE, not really sure I'm a fan of the daily time progression bit anymore. It feels too restrictive and I feel like a slave to trying to spend time efficiently and effectively. But I do like all the side stories that happen, but I wish I could just focus on a side story ala #FE till I want to move on to the next chapter. Hmm, maybe if every action didn't trigger time progression, it wouldn't be as bad or if you could do other things in a "Tired" state. Otherwise, liking the characters, updated monster designs, and the world Atlus has built. Hoping they can at least take the Monster assets into another Shin Megami Tensei game or two like they did in the PS2 Golden Era.
P4G is the only Persona game I've played, but from what you're saying the same daily system carries over? ie. I can choose to do 1 major thing "After School" and then 1 other thing in the "Evening"?
This stressed me out at first in P4G because I always wanted to make the most effective choice for my s. links.
Maybe I need to go into this one with a different mindset..
Yeah pretty much exactly the same. Was awesome in 3 and 4 because it was new and fresh, but getting tired of it these days. I'd like a more relaxing linear experience like Persona 1 and 2 instead.

Nice! I'm up to Chapter IV. I'm enjoying it a whole lot, but DAMN it reuses a lot of areas from the first game. This is a great game by itself, but not a strong sequel. The story is fiiiinnnally starting to pick up and get interesting, but there's been almost no plot development since the first ~2 hours into the game, that's been disappointing.
The combat system is 11/10, I'm afraid that it's going to ruin every JRPG I want to play in the future. That fast forward feature and turning encounters off is so game changing in the genre.

Just finished SFC DQ III. (First time I played this version of the game)
Loved it. Although I don't really get if books are really that useful in that game. Outside of a stats boost that is.
Flying theme music is amazing.

Finally got around to playing The Last Remnant, about 3 hours in. Seems like a pretty complex battle system thats going to take a while to get used to.
