Release in March

Unlike the original Switch, Nintendo didn’t want to reveal the Switch 2 back in November as it would have disrupted bumper Christmas sales.

The 3DS was never going to have big sales for Christmas 2016, so Nintendo saw no issue in revealing Switch beforehand.

It depends on when they reveal it.

That said, if they reveal it in either January or February, I don't see them releasing any later than May.

June or further out would be insane to have a longer than 3-4 month reveal-to-launch. It would absolutely obliterate hype and Switch hardware sales.

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
Tears of the Kingdom came in May. So I'm gonna say May.

March, though I would not mind a one-year delay if only because I am broke as shit for tragically personal reasons. I won't be getting one in 2025. At least there will be more games available for it once I do get it.

People should change their votes. I got mine to November as there is no way Nintendo will do their direct on April and release it on summer. So I go with something close to holidays 2025, which feels the logical choice.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
I think September is likely. Nintendo still hasn't given any details or hardware to most developers outside of the usual AAA suspects. It's not just the indies who are learning about this at the same time as everyone else. Nintendo will very likely be using the few months between now and the April announcement to start shipping dev hardware out, and they're going to want some of that software to be ready to ship alongside the system, making September reasonable both in terms of porting timelines and proximity to the holiday season.
