What possible E3 2013 Megaton could push you over the edge in hype?

A Wii U year that can keep up with the best years of the Wii. Or any of their previous consoles, but finally in HD.
Not gonna happen anytime soon though, judging by the current situation. (So I'd even be more hyped if it would happen) A single big title alone probably can't redeem the Wii U for me at this point anymore.

PS4/720 games looking super diverse and creative in the vein of current indie games (but fullfledged productions), instead of continuing the same tired tropes of this generation that killed most of the mainstream games for me.

Also, Project Zwei turning about to be what it's promised. Or any kind of proper big budget survival horror game.

Kingdom Hearts 3
Versus english footage
Final Fantasy X HD worldwide release date
Tales of Xillia release date

Probably won't get none of those though.

dirt 4 returning to its cmr roots. seeing what dirt looked like this gen, i cant imagine how stunning it could look for next.

A new Doom, or Quake, or Unreal with a solid 'back to basics' style single player campaign.

A shooter that isn't 'cinematic' and heavily scripted but is just pure fast paced twitch fun.

Id also like the game to feature a MP similar to UT/Quake Arena.

MS drops the live pay wall....

I'm not saying it would ever happen cause it won't. I'm just saying it would push me over the edge hype wise for the 720.

- Another Capcom Vs. title (Be it MvC4, or something new like Capcom Vs. Sega or something)
- Revival of an otherwise dormant, but beloved franchise (i.e. Shenmue, Dino Crisis, F-Zero, etc...)

Metroid Prime 4 for the Wii U would probably do the trick for me. Something that I'm more sure will happen: Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS trailer.

a barrage of WiiU goods: Zelda trailer, Metroid trailer, Mario 3D trailer, Smash trailer

hell even a Zelda 3DS announcement + trailer would do it

it will never happen, though (maybe Zelda 3ds will be there)

Not much

Two favorite new IPs this generation are getting sequels with Dark Souls II and Bayonetta 2 on the way for next year probably.

and probably my favorite manga is getting a fantastic looking adaption in the form of one of my favorite genres with Jojo All Star Battle.

I'm straight really.

I guess Devil's Third and Dragon's Crown getting a concrete date would make me a bit more excited but I'm pretty much as happy as I can be about this whole gaming thing atm.

DMC5, new DMC game for Vita or DMC3 ported to Vita(I would go batshit insane out of pure joy if this was announced, seriously.)
God of War Vita
Gravity Rush 2
FF12 ported to Vita
New Duke Nukem, Doom or Quake
Kingdom Hearts 3
Half Life 3
Detective Conan game confirmed for North America
Shenmue 3
Mirror's Edge 2
Persona 5
Metroid Wii U
Infamous 3 / Vita
Banjo Threeie

I'm sure most of these won't happen, but one must never give up.

Oh god, yes. How could I forget this?

A Next Gen Jak Game
Infamous 3
3D Next Gen Mario
Banjo Kazooie franchise bought by Nintendo
XSeed gets help with Localizing all the Trails games.
Resonsnce of Fate 2

Any one of these things'll do me.

L.A Noire 2,
Nintendo 1st PT Wii U content,
Majoras Mask 3DS,
Anything from valve,
Something that makes Vita desirable with PS4,
Landstalker remake (the reason I bought a PSP in 2005 *sniff*).

Microsoft letting Rare return to it's former glory and giving us Perfect Dark 2.

Killzone 4.

More "Phantom Pain" and Ground Zeroes footage.

Square-Enix pulls it's head out of it's ass and gives us a Versus XIII (or with the new Final Fantasy 15 name) trailer and release date.

Konami pulls it's head out of it's ass and give us a new, PROPER Silent Hill game. Next Gen of course.

Nintendo announces that they've bought back Rare's IP and Retro Studios is hard at work on Banjo-Threeie and Perfect Dark 2.

and Diddy Kong Racing U naturally ;)

Btw, I like how you phrased the question OP. Not necessarily asking what people think would be the biggest mega ton but what could push people over the edge in hype.

The next Xbox features Blu-Ray ...

This is all but assured to be the case. Microsoft has spent the past few years positioning the Xbox as a multimedia centre and ignoring the HD format of choice would be antithetical to that. Even if Microsoft does forgo BD playback, the optical format will be based on BD, just as is the case with the Wii U.

-RDR 2.
-Mario "Universe"
-A next gen Banjo Kazooie game.
-A next gen, proper PES game.
-Fable 4 powered by Unreal Engine 4.
-Forza 5.
-Mirror's Edge 2.

I dunno, that Dark Souls II reveal during the VGA's was the most generally excited I've been over an announcement in a LONG time. My heart rate went up and I actually got up out of my chair and moved closer to the screen during the trailer.

I guess the next best things could be:

2) Enders Project Jehuty official reveal; the new Zone of the Enders that's supposed to take place during an ancient civilization.

HD_NIGHT_Jehuty_Display.jpg

I'd be very happy for anything new on this game.

FFversusXIII trailer/news, a release date for FF: BD and info on HL3 would also be awesome, but highly unlikely.

Any new game with at least interesting gameplay and has many layers in regards to mechanics and not soley reliant on just some fancy new graphics.

Something that actually piques my interest for once. The Wonderful 101 was the only thing at E3 last year to get a reaction out of me, and it came out of left field. Maybe a new F-Zero game.

I'm way to hard to please in terms of games these days

Skyrim type adventure by Retro.

Other than that I think Nintendo have killed most all of my hype generating organs over the last 18 months.
