What the heck is wrong with my Internet?

I have to click on my links like five times before they will load. Often I will click once and open a new tab and it will sit on the "Loading" screen for five minutes and then just go to a blank page and say "Done" or whatever at the bottom.

If it happens when I'm on GAF sometimes I'll click a thread and after a few minutes of "Loading" I will get the download confirmation screen that asks me if I want to download "viewforum.php". What the heck is going on? I'm using Firefox 2 and I can download torrents at 1.3 MB/s so I don't know why a normal web page is taking forever to load.

Is it my browser? My shitty laptop? I'm not sure what's going on but I've never had this problem before.

I ran AdAware, I'm not sure about the best free programs to download to check for that sort of stuff. Any suggestions?

I run virus scans through Norton but my definition list expired a while ago and I'm broke at the moment so I haven't resubscribed or whatever.

Recently I've had similar problems but I realised it was BT being cunts and capping my internet at peak times. Apparently I must have downloaded too much one day and violated their fair usage policy (which they never define) and now I'm limited to speeds which cause youtube to struggle. This is despite the fact I've not downloaded anything in weeks really. Not exactly what I'd call fair.

Anyway, check your isp isn't doing something.

Not sure if my ISP has a fair use policy/bandwidth cap because I'm in Korea and my Korean isn't that good. From what I've seen though I doubt they do.

I ran Spybot before I left for the office and it didn't finish before I had to leave, but it had already found two files hijacking my svchost.exe file so I imagine that's what the problem is.

When I get back at lunch time I'll clean them and that should hopefully resolve the issue. Thanks for the help everyone, I appreciate it.
