What time (your time) do you think most people on Earth are awake?

I'm EST (US), and I'm gonna guess most people are awake, on average, around 7 pm (or am, for that matter) my time. On the other side of the world, it would be 7 am, right? Somewhere in the middle it would be, what, 1 am or 1 pm, depending. Wouldn't be too late that some folks would still be partying, especially on their equivalent of a weekend. Yeah, I'm gonna go with that.

I cheated and used google :

9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
. That's when the largest number of people in the world are likely awake, as measured by computer usage frequency, according to designer Bård Edmund.

Hmm...but I wonder if that's an accurate way to measure it. My son and brother both leave their computers running a lot, and I suspect a lot of folks do that. But I suppose perhaps it's the best we've got in terms of measuring it. Wonder how that stacks against purchase transactions? Stuff like everyday items. Since most folks use a card these days, or some other traceable forms of currency.

Awesome question for a thread like this. Bravo. (it also fits your name perfectly IMHO, one dad to another)

As for the topic itself, I could definitely see 9 being the answer compared to 7. More sleepy heads are awake at 9 (in EST of course), and 9 is not too late where its 9 PM. But I could see 7 being the right answer, or 8. Whatever the sweet spot is for old people going to bed. A little before that is probably the answer.
