Since when is sushi considered "trendy"? 10 years ago maybe but now its a staple. A lot of the stuff in this thread can be prepared where it is indeed delicious and would probably make you change your mind on some things. That being said, I will say that corn on the cob and boiled corn is perhaps the worst thing imaginable. It is in fact my most hated aspect of North American summers.
Next time you're forced to eat it, coat that corn on the cob with mayonnaise, then drizzle it with tomato sauce (you'd call it ketchup) and sweet mustard. Add a hard, flaky cheese (parmesan will do).

You can thank me later.

I've never really been bothered by mayo, since you can hardly notice it on a burger or sandwich. It just adds a bit more fluidity and consistency to a sandwich

I hate onion most of the time, but I do like it when it's cooked for a really long time (such as in the juices of a Thanksgiving turkey) or fried (such as in onion rings or blooming onions).

The things that I REALLY hate that everybody else loves are pickles, cucumbers, and coffee.

Oh yeah. I'll add this to my list. I hate raw onion with a burning passion. Crunchy onion FTL

Wow, i like pretty much every food mentioned here. i'm sure a lot of these food you guys would tolerate or even like if they were prepared properly.

Only thing i can think of that i don't like are really sweet desserts, especially when they're devoid of flavor. i'm also not a fan of milk chocolate; i'd rather have dark.

I'm puerto rican so my entire life around my family has involved beans. fucking beans. I hate beans so much. Black beans, fuck em. Pinto beans, fuck em. Refried beans.... fuck em.

besides beans I can pretty much eat anything, sushi, squid, chicken, avocados... yum.

I wouldn't say hate but I heavily dislike KFC.

...

Okay, I hate them and their fucking digusting chickens.

Why do people say they hate something? There are so many ways in making food, i hate squash in its raw form but cream of squash soup=win.

I hate it when some hamburger joint decides to ruin a perfectly good hamburger by adding ketchup and/or mustard in it. I really don't get the point. Everyone of those diners have pumps where the customers can get ketchup and mustard for free (plus, they give you those small ketchup containers to go as well), if they really want to cover the taste of hamburger with that kind of shit. So, why don't they leave them out in the first place, and let everyone who wants them add them later?

Well, it may not be trendy in USA anymore, but it's sure is still trendy here in Finland.

I don't drink, except an special occasions (Toasts at weddings ) because I find the taste vile. I also don't trust myself and am pretty sure I'd be an alchy if I acquired a taste for it.

I also hate squash. I mean, I really hate squash, but I'm not sure if it's popular at all. I would like to like it though. I learned collard greens are awesome with a little bit of BBQ sauce, so maybe I can find a way to prepare squash.

I had no idea there were so many people who hated seafood.

Bananas. I despise anything that even remotely tastes like Bananas. The last time I ate a banana, I had to immediately chase it with a glass of water to prevent myself from throwing it up.

Whenever I eat a banana by itself my throat immediately becomes itchy afterwards. It's the most annoying feeling in the world. I've eaten banana splits without getting this feeling but bananas by themselves irritate the shit out of me.

Seafood. Occasionally I'll have a shrimp or even a little lobster, but those moments are rare. I just can't develop a taste for it, and I've tried. I'll still try.

The tomato is my biggest food that I have a love/hate relationship with. Cook it and I can't get enough of it (there's that Italian pasta-loving blood representing), but I cannot eat it otherwise. So many times I'll go out and get a salad and the company that I'm with will ask why I didn't eat any of the tomato's...

I wanna see if I get anyone with me here...

BUTTER.

I hate butter, I dont want to taste it on my food... I can stand it in baked goods where the flavor is cooked away but I dont want it on my bread smeared or in foods where you can taste smell it... ugh.

Also hate sour cream and generally anything "creamy".

I hate onions like a few other people have mentioned... and watermelon. Something about it, I don't know, there's a certain tang, or twinge, or flavor to them that just makes me dislike them.

sour cream
cottage cheese
cream cheese (including cheesecake)
yogurt (unless loaded with sugar and fruit)
buttermilk (notice a pattern yet?)
olives
ranch dressing (probably because of the buttermilk)
