So I learnt a few years ago that the general consensus is sock sock shoe shoe.
This blew my mind as a sock shoe sock shoe guy.

I HATE having anything in my shoe. I could feel a grain of sand in there.
Why on earth would I want to put my sock on the ground while putting the other sock on when you could simply slide on the shoe?

There is literally no logical reason to put the second sock on before the first shoe.

Maybe it’s different for you American folk as y’all see to love wearing shoes indoors. Which is another messed up thing on its own.

What are you talking about. The first thing I do when I walk in my house is take my shoes off. America is not a nation of wearing shoes in their houses.

EDIT: We didn't save the world twice by wearing shoes in our own houses.

Sock shoe sock shoe. Too much dog hair to be walking around in socks.

Wait a minute... so lets say you put on your left sock you keep your foot off the ground and put on your shoe so there's no dog hair on the bottom of your sock?

I walk mostly with socks but i have carpet atm and my cat has long hair thats like fluffy so not really a big deal. Plus i vacuum regularly. But doghair is much different I reckon.

Most Americans are personally "shoes off" at home, but most of us don't require our guests to take them off.

Taking your shoes off at someone else's home is an unofficial sign of familiarity. We don't consider it impolite if an unfamiliar guest doesn't take them off, unless you ask them. Then they're a piece of shit and we usually shoot and kill them under our "stand your ground" and "castle" doctrines.

Yes. Hardwood floors except a few rugs here and there. I am usually barefoot around the house or I wear slippers in the cold months.

I don’t put my socks on until I’m already sitting down to put my shoes on.

Sock Sock Shoe Shoe for life. Ya gotta minimize how awkward shoes make everything.

It would be like wiping your ass sitting down. Who does that to themselves?
