Asking this question cause my sister just called me that she found a 70$ PSN gift card last Saturday in a mcdonald's and she now send me the code and it worked.

Not kidding I only had 3.30$

Randomly got asked to switch to a different server in FFXI by someone I'd never met on my 1st day playing it, killing rabbits outside San d'Oria. Eventually led to making a few lifelong friends, and probably changed the whole trajectory of my career, school and life plans in a butterfly effect.

My friend's wife gave me a copy of Tomba 2 for free. It was her favorite game growing up.

Gaben replied to my emails on two different occasions!

I stole an unlocked boat in Ultima Online.

Not really sure… one thing that comes to mind is when I was playing wild arms 1 on ps1 I got found the necronomican during a regular play through really early as I recall. I ended up keeping it equipped for the rest of the game.

I've had lots of crazy lucky moments in online games like Battlefield, Siege, and The Finals.

No way can I remember all of them or pick a specific day lol

I do remember a moment in Bad Company 2. Near the end of a Rush match I was using the guided rocket (your aim affects where it goes). I fired a shot and spun around in circles while the match ended and killed some random enemy across the entire map.

When playing Siege a few years back I was messing around with friends and stated that I'm going to shoot one bullet through this window and I'll get a kill. I did. The poor bastard I domed outside House on the balcony probably thought I was cheating.

Managed to get a PS5 preorder during launch when Corona made it difficult to buy. I was the last person to place an order on the website before they closed the opportunity. Got the console a month after launch still due to such high demands, but if I had missed the window entirely I probably wouldn't have gotten a console for a year and half at least. Demon's Souls remake was totally worth the hassle and wait for a PS5. Umbasa.

I discovered an Easter egg from Yoshi Island "OH MY", I made it known worldwide, I appeared on a television program in Mexico and my name appeared in an important Mexican magazine "Club Nintendo".

- The day I bought and received Gravity rush 2 Limited edition.

-The day i won the Rockband Bundle in a movie quiz contest.

-Buy the Nintendo Switch with the Hyrule Warriors, BOTW And Mario Oddysey Bundle

-I buy it 5 copies for ps3 of the game The Walking dead survival Instinct. I bought the copies at 1 dollars each one (price system error) and I sold them in my country at 30 dollars, I kept a ''Free'' copy ( because my hobby is collecting videogames in many system) , the rest was gain.

-Buy Haunting ground for 20 dollars.

-Buy Marvel vs Capcom 2 on Xbox for $15

- Buy Metroid prime on Gamecube for 1 full dollar almost new.

- Buy God Hand for $5 complete with manual.

Won one of the rarest knife and item in Counter Strike Go (Karambit Lore) in my very first crate openings - basically a loot box. People would always comment on how I got it and never believed me when I told them how I got it.

Sold it on the marketplace for a hefty sum after maybe a couple years of play.

The day I got my Joyeuse in prime Final Fantasy XI. It was just an insane number of happenstances that all came together for me to get it. I'd explain it but anybody that wasn't DEEP into FFXI would have any idea what I'm talking about.

Then a week later I got a Scorpion Harness +1.

Some random guy on Steam bought me a Destiny 2 DLC pack for absolutely no reason other than to be nice because I had it on my wishlist.

This is how I felt when I got the Hagun drop for my SAM in XI. The O.Kote was also a highlight. Farmed that effin mob for 30 days straight. Or the Emperor's hairpin in the Dunes

Not sure. Maybe getting two gold legendaries from a single pack in HearthStone. That probability can’t be very high.

I got a G-horn drop EARLY in Destiny 1 Before the zeighest had even started. Got both a Fatebringer and a Vex Mythoclast on my first run of Vault hard mode).

That first year in Destiny 1 I was WELL equipped.

One day me and a friend were messing around in a password screen of a game (i don't remember which). And we actually activated a cheat, a level select or something like that, by luck.

Writing to RARE when I found out about Killer Instinct coming to the SNES. I wanted to know about the custom sound processor sampling, and if mode 7 would be used...

I received a comprehensive reply inside two weeks. I was the happiest motherfucker in the world for a long time. Absolutely buzzing.

Got switch for free, and additional bonus xbox one controller and 1tb ssd, from gov
Similar case, I got that government unemployability money because I lost my job once and then I bought a PS5 with those funds. In case you wonder, I'm not from USA.

In the summer of '96, I reserved an N64 at Toys R Us for $30. I walk in on launch day and they just handed me the system at the check out window and didn't ask for any money. In hindsight, it wasn't the most ethical thing to do to just walk out of the store, but being 14 years old, I wasn't thinking on that level. Turns out years later, the financial consequences of my actions would rock the very core of this beloved retailer as they would file for bankruptcy and shut down all locations. It still pains me to think about the damage I've done, but yeah, an N64 for $30.

When I was a kid, our family moved to a new house with an old, decrepit, falling apart shed. My dad and I were rummaging through the junk in there, and it truly was junk, just total garbage, we found a NES Power Pad and one of the track and field games for it, the common one (can't be THAT lucky). Brought it in, cleaned it, plugged it in and it worked. So that was pretty cool.

I went to Walmart one night to get some kitty litter. I saw a Smackdown Vs Raw 2011 for ps3 tournament in the electronics section. I was able to sign up and jump in and won a free copy. I grew up with 4 brothers and we would all play the Smackdown games on ps1 with the multitap almost every night. I was more than prepared.

I really miss the old original FFXI it felt so rewarding when you got equipment that genuinely made a difference, But to get equipment like the above in 1 day was extremely rare.

The week before this I got Homam Hands, Feet and Valhalla Breastplate, My PLD went from meh to excellent in a week, Great times with great people wish I could go back to then.

The climb up that stupid mountain was the hardest part 😆

That skeleton drop rate for O Kote was so bad for me 30 days straight sounds about right, Then you'd always get someone who shows up and claims and gets the drop 1/1 🖕

I don't believe games getting more expensive are the biggest issue we're facing, it's the fact these corporates kept on distancing themselves from the community.
