• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

What was your previous PC spec, current PC, and planned future PC?

Previous
i7-6850K 64GB

Current
R9 5900X 64GB
3080->4090

I don't "plan" any future upgrades, just do them when they make sense.
My current expectation is to switch to a Zen6x3D 12C once that will be out. Will probably do a third "non-upgrade" of RAM, now to 64GB DDR5.
GPU who knows, whenever something better than a 4090 at close to a 4090's launch price will become available.
Meanwhile I'm planning to upgrade my monitor from a 32" 4K 144Hz IPS to a 32" 4K 240Hz Tandem WOLED, also whenever these will make sense pricing wise.
I'll also need to add another SATA SSD at some point over the next couple of years probably as I'm running out of storage space on my current ~25TBs and don't want to buy new HDDs at this point. But SSDs cost so much now that I'll be postponing this till it will become absolutely unavoidable.
