What we need is a REAL next gen console!

Microsoft's new console can apparently grind and do ollies. Nintendo is looking to incite civil war. Sony is... uh, making money.

Fuck that noise. What we need is something I've bee promised since childhood. This is TWO THOUSAND-FUCKING-FIVE. I'm supposed to living on the moon with my supermodel clone wife driving flying cars and watching news on my holographic TV streaming from Internet 2 (the sequel!).

So I propose you jump on my bandwagon and start investing in:

Yea once they can do really nice graphics in 1280x1024px2 on a home console they need to give VR a try again....

You're not the only one VERY disappointed by the calender date.. I'm 34, We were naive enough to believe all the promises from the 80s on... hell even 10 years ago they were making crazy predictions that didn't come true.

Basicly the only thing they got wrong was the time frame in which all that crap would happen. Just times 10 and maybe it will happen. A movie predicts thinking computers in 10 years, just change that to 100 years and that's more like it.

Heh, I remember reading a GameFan from like '95 that had all these Robotech dev shots for Ultra 64. The graphics rivaled alot of todays games (and we know how that turned out).

I think that same issue had shots of FFVII for U64 also, only the shots had FFVI characters as place holders. I think they had pics of a Bahamut summmon. It was boss.

Yep, I remember them printing pictures from a CGI movie called "in the minds eye" and saying the N64 would be able to do that... :)

Wow....you took me way back with that. My Godmother purchased that tape for me. It made my mouth drop. I remeber a scene of going through a computer chip and one of a ship....

Ha ha yeah, I forced my parents to pick me up a copy many years ago. It inspired me go into CG industry, ha ha.

Great series.
