What would you want in Dragons Dogma 2?

I know there are rumors of leaks that the game is planned. Honestly I was reading about the improvments the MMO made to the first game, before being shut down, like warrior being viable in endgame?

Co-op would work perfectly really. Or at least a way for a friend to directly control their pawn you have recruited.

More cities and more quests of course. More enemy variety and more varied locations.

A leveling system that wouldn't drive my mix-max obsessions wild and make me restart 500 times...

But honestly it just needs polishing for me to be happy. Maybe it would need to be streamlined a bit for modern gamers but I hope not too much as I enjoyed the fact you really had to venture out into the wilderness and couldn't just fast travel from quest to quest. The combat is still up there in terms of engagement.

The first game is admittedly kind of janky in a lot of ways but not so much that it was ever a problem.

I really want the ddo classes to appear, to still be able to create child characters, and walking giants. Being able to grab harpies to fly up cliffs, and across large gaps. The other race characters from early DD concept art. I'm really worried those 4 things might not make it in.

Oh and I guess multi-player, but I feel like that HAS to happen.

I'm not sure I would want co-op. Because that would most likely mean that the game can no longer be paused. You have the pause menu, but nothing stops, like in Souls games. I like being able to eat some stamina buff while clung to a monster.

A more compelling and better written story. Better narrative structure and better lore. More interesting characters.

Improved AI for pawns.

More variety in enemies, cities and villages. The map doesn't necessarily have to get bigger, I think it's fine scaling worlds back a bit, as long as you fill it with compelling stuff to explore.

No RNG bullshit like the cursed gear in BBI.

More dungeon crawling in the veins of Bitterblack Isle. Excellent expansion with tough as nails content.

Revamp the loot system. It's way to much crap to collect which results in to much inventory management.

I want a coop or online multiplayer like monster hunter

A larger map with more towns, villages, and cities would be great. Not if it means a less dense map, of course. I only want the upsides of a larger map, none of the downsides :lollipop_smiling_face_eyes:
Something that allows me to continue playing for another hundred or so hours before the map gets stale.

Why the pawn system has never been used in anything else is baffling. Basically, sits beside the choice factors into sequels ala ME.

As for a sequel simply expand on what they created.

Better storytelling and quest lines. I'm not saying the first one's were bad, what I'm saying is...

Eww no, I absolutely hate that trend. I want specific classes in all my rpgs.
I think you're misunderstanding their post. Stat gains for leveling in DD were based on the class you had equipped at the time of the levelup. If you started as a mage, your HP growth is low, as an example. Those stat gains are locked to your character, independent of the classes you choose later as you level up.

If after 30ish levelups you decide that you like playing as a warrior or fighter a lot more... you are permanently gimped to some extent, always left with a smaller HP pool than you would had you started the character as a fighter instead.

no yeah I know exactly what it meant. That's the whole part of classic RPGs. A bard isn't as strong as a warrior but has other attributes to make up for it in other ways.

You clearly don't understand. The person you originally responded to is asking for a system that you just described.

In Dragon's Dogma's current system you would have a bard as strong as a warrior if you leveled warrior and then changed classes to a bard. Your strength stat carries over as is.

I'm probably in the minority here but, I want more stuff like the Bitterblack Isle DLC. Drop the open world. Go full dungeon crawler.

multiple weather. for example rain, snow, sandstorm

these weather gonna affect gameplay. for example rain cause player soak and take stronger lightning damage, snow cause frostbite and hindered movement for heavy pawn/character etc.
