What's the best version of Beyond Good and Evil?

Xbox.

PS2 has an unlockable mini game I think though, and it has another language. But framerate is crap...so get the Xbox version

Don't know anything about the PS2 version, but it's got another language and unlockable mini-game? Hmmm...

Michel Ancel said in a interview that he personally prefers the Gamecube version.

I heard the minigame isn't worth it though. I think it's a 2 player version of that game in the bar..with the discs...I'm not sure though. And you have to get like every pearl to unlock it I think

I got the Xbox version after my PS2 copy crashed on me 7 hours in... much better framerate, seemingly better models, progressive scan, ect....

Can't conceive of how you'd play the game on the PC ... but I donno how good USB controllers have gotten....

it's really a graphical decesion, since the control is perfect for all..

Xbox, slightly smoother framerate.

If you care about the mini game go for the gc version. Its always availible i think.

Michel Ancel told me he preferred the GameCube version, saying that he was able to take the engine built on the PS2 and basically do an effortless port to GC (don't ask me how they did this) that jumped from 30fps on PS2 to 60fps on GC. He loves the GC. He said the Xbox version took a lot more work to get up and running, which I found surprising, considering the GC and Xbox share a lot more in common than the PS2 and GC do. I haven't done side-by-side comparisons, though, so I don't actually know which is better between the Xbox and GC. But either of those are superior to the PS2, graphically.

Um, that's in all versions...?

You unlock it by getting every pearl in the game.

PS2 version seemed fine to me, though I haven't played the others. No bugs, framerate perfectly acceptable. I'd probably go with the combination of lowest price and favourite controller. :)

I thought it was PS2 only? I swear PS2 has something that the other versions dont

Yeah, the pearl and disc game are in all versions.

Just about all versions of BG&E are cheap. Ubisoft doesn't sell the X-Box version on their online store anymore...

I've only played it on PS2, and the framerate was terrible. I have an unopened Xbox version I'll pull out whenever I feel like giving the game a second run.

I played the PS2 version first (finished it on Xbox)....god, I have to jump in line with the graphic whores when you see the multiple versions of some of these multi-platform games and one runs in a higher framerate. Night meet day.
