What's the deal with your avatar.

Fine, I'll talk about my Avatar...

I was a huge Stargate Atlantis fan back in 2013 when I joined GAF, so I set Jason Momoa as my avatar. Got somewhat "internet famous" around that time, so kind of came to be known by my avatar. So I've kept it around. The current iteration is an AI pic of Momoa wearing a NeoGAF shirt (that I'm usually rocking IRL) standing by some gaming posters, in Simpsons style.
Never Stop Never Stopping!

My original avatar is the only original peace of art (loosely used term here) I've ever made...but I called evilore a ShitLore (tm) for poopooing on Tears of the Kingdom in some thread we had about "Will this full price DLC actually sell copies*" or something (sounds like a "my man Adam" thread title). vindication*

My user name was smote (smite?) on high from the gods, and when that I changed I went on a "finding myself" journey and ended up with the avatar I have now. The human dreamcatcher scene from the D4 cinematic for their first (and probably only) expansion pack. It was the last thing Blizzard made that felt like "old school" blizzard to me.

I chose Riley because he's the undefeated champion of saying the wildest shit at the worst possible time, talks too much, starts drama he absolutely didn't need to be in, and somehow still believes he's the main character.

Not even my favorite sword and sorcery movie as I like the Sword and the Sorcerer, Krull, Red Sonja, Heart and Armour, He-Man, and both Conan movies more than it but I like the name of the movie.

I actually liked my old avatar better, BIRD UP (Kula-Ya-Ku) from Monster Hunter, but MH Wilds pissed me off so much that I decided not to be associated with that franchise for the time being.

My Shantae avatar would be better if we ever got animated avatars back...

Side question - anybody here still got THAT kpop avatar from like 10 years ago, if you know what I'm talking about, you'll know the one I mean. I tried google and bing but couldn't find it.

I didn't know this existed. Just watched a YouTube video of a guy trying one out.

Were you one of the 30,000 that got one originally?

No. It was mostly aimed at young children.
And the media hardware (disc drive and scanner) were very poor.
It could have been a decent machine, but their goal was to make it for a very low cost and make a profit on selling card packs.

Condor from G-force, my old avatar was Ventus from KH and next the old wolf emblem, with someone here is already using after I trade.

My nickname came from the fact I'm a twin, so is kinda like the replica program from KH. Used very old Counter Strike nicknames until I got to this.

Just one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies. Hudson's last stand in Aliens.

"Die Motherfucker! Come on! Come and get it, baby! Come on! I don't got all day! Come on! Come on you bastard! Come on, you too? Oh, you want some of this? Fuck you!"

Data in a Terminator leather jacket and sunglasses is just peak style.

Two robot-culture icons fused into one… it was either that or Wren, but nobody remembers Wren anymore :-/

Regardless, thanks for introducing me to it. It was interesting. The video I watched made it clear it was a mid-90s tech machine in the mid-2000s with an idea similar to the one Skylanders and Amiibos would later find success with. A cool, crappy relic!

It's the logo I had commissioned for my former website... And it's my username. D with sound waves going outward... Deaf, and T shaking ... Tourette.

Famitsu has good art - when I think of modern day classics that overtake my childhood classics - DeS, DaS, TW3 & Skyrim - TotK sits atop them all. It's the best game I've ever played.
