Ok, I can't really remember anything except -

It sound like 70s rock

The solo is done by the singer and the guitarist, it seems that the singer sings high pitched notes in syncopation with the guitar solo. It's also a building solo, meaning it gets progressively higher. And it's really fucking fast.

I could type out the rhythm?

Ba da da, da, da, BA da da, da...... erm, yeah.

Get to work GAF wizards, can you turn nothing into something?

I listened to the live version of Do You Feel Like I Do, and that's definitely not it. I'm pretty sure it's not Frampton either.

Haha, those could be interpreted anyway, I wish I had a mic or something so I could hum it, I'm sure you'd get it right away if I could....

*thinks*

The voice sounds a bit digitzed too, similar to what Peter Frampton might do, but the rest of the song (and it's really blurry to me) reminded me of Cheap Trick a bit, though I'm probably way off base and just misleading everyone unintentionally.

Eminem

goddamit, Griese!
sure it's wrong, but the "Ba da da, da, da, BA da da, da" reminded me Iron Maiden's "The Trooper"

I immediately thought Frampton too. It's going to be luck if any of us get it based on that description, no offense.

EDIT: I'm not sure if Rush ever did anything like that with the vocals but they come to mind for whatever reason.

None taken, I know I'm grasping at straws here, but this song is gonna drive me nuts till the next time I hear it on the radio, which could be a year from now :lol

........ :(

Edit - Damn, now I'm thinking it might be Yes for some reason, but why?

Okay here's a list of some other potential bands:

Queen, Led Zeppelin, Kansas, Boston, or Styx.

Yes sounds good too.
