Whats the status of your brand new U.S PSP topic. (dead pixels, stuck button, etc...)

As far as I can tell, I might have a stuck pixel in the lower right corner. That’s the only one I was able to see, many false alarms as dust particles look the same. :)

No problems with any of the buttons either.

I love my PSP.

Not a single dead pixel. Plays like a dream, though I guess this is a problem with Ridge Racer, but one race I had the left speaker cutting out constantly. It was annoying, but I think I heard about this being a known problem. Don't know if it's a PSP problem though and it hasn't happened since.

How can you tell if you have dead pixels? I'm looking at the screen, and I see these very small grey boxes around the screen, but you have to put your face right up to the screen and have a white background to see it.

Is this what everyone is complaining about? If so, who cares? I don't even notice them, and I have about 10-15 or so of the little things.

And yes, I caved in and bought a PSP and Ridge Racer. I feel like such a whore. :lol

When you are paying $250(+$100 for games) for a portable console, don't you think it's fair that you shouldn't have any defects on it?

My brother's PSP luckily didn't have any dead pixels on it, but if it did, I would have replaced it.

How about if you answer my question first? I've never had any products with an LCD so I don't know what I'm looking for. If what I described is actually a dead pixel, and it's in the corner of the screen or something, I don't really see the problem.

If that is actually a dead pixel, I have about 10-15 of them mostly in the center of the screen. I will definitely try my luck with another PSP, but I don't really notice them.
