what's your plan for November?

Personally Im hoping the Wii will fail miserably. Im sick and tired of having to buy an entire console with crap for games (this is going to get worse with the Wii it seems), only to be able to play Zelda.

Anyway, Ill be playing GoW mostly, if my 360 will pull through till then that is. And Ill pass on the PS3 until their games start to look a little more appealing.

This is an interesting post. You want the Wii to fail miserably because you don't think you will like its game library, and you really only want to play its Zelda? How exactly will the Wii failing solve your dilemma?

ps3 (600)
extra controller
eye-toy 2 (if video chat and other features at launch, ill wait on it if not)
resistance
warhawk
rainbow six
if coming out in nov: half life 2 pack (ps3 if m+kb support, pc if not)

maybe's:
tony hawk
madden 07
fatal inertia (yeah I said it)

going to be an expensive holiday season.

and Wii

Im gonna spend most of my time laughing at everyone paying ebay prices for PS3s, might find some time for Gears of War and whatever is coming out for DS & PSP.

Nintendo going 3rd party :D.

Wii
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen And The Tower Of Mirrors
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Rayman: Raving Rabbids

Nintendo DS
Elite Beat Agents
Yoshi's Island 2

Playstation 2
Final Fantasy XII

Really only have the funds for a Wii and one game (deciding between Zelda and Metroid, leaning toward Zelda).

Luckily I have a November birthday and Jesus' birthday in December. Therefore I can pick up:
-The big nintendo launch game that I didn't pick up myself
-Yoshi's Island 2 ds
-FF3 ds
-maybe Red Steel?

wow. A lot. I think I'll also ask for TIME to complete games such as those listed above and my backlog including Ninja Gaiden Black, FF6, Chrono Cross, Zelda: ALLTP, Zelda: Minish Cap and Half Life 2.

Catching up on the crazy DS backlog I'll have accumulated in September and October, while adding the new stuff in November and trying to get through that so I can get to even more new stuff coming in December.

I might own Zelda too. Don't know if I'll get around to playing it, though, when Castlevania, Yoshi's Island 2, Mega Man ZX, FFIII, FFV, etc. are all beckoning me. Though I probably will at some point, if for no other reason than so that I can (fairly) participate in GAF's GOTY 2006 thread.

Wii+Mario Galaxy, Zelda and Smash Bros.

PS2: Okami, Yakuza, MGS: Subsistance (damn you , late pal releases)

Maybe an Xbox 360 with Gears of War and Dead Rising if I've got any money left.

Resistance, MotorStorm, SingStar & Warhawk.

Ditto on all that... except hopefully 2-3 more PS3's for Ebay :D (gotta score that new TV somehow amirite?!)

Wii I'll pick up... dunno what games though...

Forza 2 I'll grab as well... Gears... I dunno, I'm still skeptical on that one, I'll wait to see how it plays first (rental)...

(p.s. I'm really starting to warm up to the PS3 design... I didn't think I would, but, hey... what can I say? It's looking hot!)

Zelda: Twilight Princess, followed by Final Fantasy XII.

Still sort of want to get a Wii, but I'm really skeptical of Metroid Prime III despite loving the first two games, and I'm playing Zelda on the Cube. If Mario Galaxy somehow became a launch title, I'd probably bite, but I think I'll wait.

Wii with Zelda TP, MP3, Wii Sports, Rayman, for the 1st month. Later in the year I'll get some of the games that i've missed for it like Red Steel (if it turns out to actually be good), ExciteTruck, Trauma Centre and any othe launch games that turn out to be good.

Oh, and I must get HL2: Episode 2 for PC. That'll be it for this year I think.

i hope to get a PS3...but i doubt it'll happen.

one thing is for certain -- i'll be getting many PS2/PSP games.

Never going to happen. They're extremely successful at the handheld industry (they practically own the effer) and I HIGHLY doubt they would EVER under any circumstance go third party. If Wii was a complete and utter failure beyond recognition, then they would simply pull out of the home console race and stick to portables.

:)

For awhile I was thinking of waiting til 07 to buy PS3 and Wii, but lately I'm in the "**** it, I'm just going to buy it all" mood. Most likely going to get at least one of the two, plus whatever 360 and portable games look good.

November ?

PS3
- Resistance
- Warhwak (< my "free game" for preoarder)
- rainbow six vegas
- singstar

and maybe some more ;)

cheers

Not big on the whole multiplayer thing, but from the sounds of it we will have to have a late night launch PS3 Warhawk GAF session on Nov. 17th. Unless someone else besides me gets Marvel Ultimate Alliance for PS3. I call dibs on Spider-man!

The only definite plan I have is getting a Wii. Zelda and Mario are certains. Other than that I'll continue to complete my backlog and grab good games that I find for cheap. Rogers in Canada recently has been doing a 2 for $40 used videogame deal and I found a shop that had some 360 games, so I got Table Tennis, Moto GP and Tomb Raider. I brought Moto GP to Blockbuster cause they were giving $42 for it ($19 profit after tax) and the demo didn't grab me. The point is, I'll keep grabbing games I find for cheap and therefore ALWAYS have a backlog.

I am likely getting FFIII, but I got bored playing FFIV for the first time recently, so I don't know if my head is in the RPG zone, or if FFIV asinine story just couldn't hold me anymore. Maybe the 'updates' to FFIII will make it more palletable. I will get FFVI though, as I know I can play through that game no problem and I should really buy it considering how long I've had the game on emulator with the excuse "well I can't find the game". So I'll definetly buy and beat the crap out of that one.

Wii Console
Zelda: TP (Wii Version)
Mario Galaxy (if it comes out then)
FFXII
Guitar Hero 2
Elite Beat Agents
Earthbound (for virtual console; it better be there, I've held off on emulating it for so long...)

I MIGHT get another Wii game (one that takes full advantage of the controller I hope) but I know that Zelda will be the only game I'll be playing for a long while anyway.

Of course, but a man can dream right?

honestly IDK!

sell blood?
pleasure sailors at the pier?
ebay my PS3 pre-order?
cheap out and give everyone cards for xmas?
stick with the 360 and just hope someone hooks me up with a PS3 :D or a wii this christmas :)

:lol

I could just get zelda for the gamecube, but that sucks. I really don't need a PS3 till MGS or gran tourismo hits... but damn I want one!

my plan?

spending the most money on video games i have ever spent in one month in my life (and the most money i'll ever spend on video games in one month in my life)

Wii + PS3 + launch games for both + games for 360, PS2, DS? wow

With the release of Wii, PS3 and some good X360 games, do you have a plan for November?

I haven't really thought it through, but I'd like to carve room to have time for both Wii and PS3 launches - hopefully they don't launch too close together.

X360 will have to make room - I enjoy my launches, and both new consoles will have droughts after a few months, so I can always catch up with my 360 then. I might be able to squeeze in GoW, but if it really launches on PS3 day then I'll pick it up at the midnight opening but it'll have to sit at home for a week.

PS3 buy buy buy buy buy!!!

Plus some PS2 stuff, but that's nothing new.
