Is there something wrong with posting personal information on internet message boards such as GAF? Where do you draw the line when it comes to personal information?
I think all personal information is allowed as long as it's a topic of interest. These circle jerk threads about pictures of your cat should be reserved to your livejournal rant.
Despite posting on this forum, I'd like to think that there is noble cause in visiting internet message boards: trying to grow throught conversations and debates. However, a person can grow throught experience, good or bad, wether it be in real life or "on the internet." So by posting more personal information on the internet, you affirm your presence and make things more 'real' which makes you prone to having experiences on the internet which are a bit closer to the ones you get in real life.
Is there a noble cause for posting on message boards at all? Do we learn anything useful by having an "internet life/reputation" or is it just a big waste of time?
