Plenty of detail about the game and its development. The comments on realism and difficulty of contemporary videogames could have come from employees of another Japanese company. :)

Uh oh. Randomly generated courses possible and 400 tracks does not bode well for people like me who like fewer, lovingly created courses. Ah well, the worst that can happen is that I'll still be stuck with the original Sega Rally.

Sounds like the heart and soul of the old series is still intact.

The focus on a track generator, not concerning themselves with adding an arsenal of cars, keeping the same arcade feel in its driving engine, all this news is really a relief to hear.
Its like theyre not trying to bastardise the franchise into todays racing field. I'm quite sick of the over abundance of useless cars that bog down racers with the typical maintenance 101 stuff thats often included withem them.

You guys enjoy it,which s cool. But I'm glad its been kept out of Sega Rally.

Maybe this will ease the pain:
Classic Sega Rally series courses will reappear, as well as donating their environments for use in random courses

Yeah, never been a fan of random tracks...but as long as the other modes have a nice, well designed selection of pre-built courses, I'm game.

Thanks! That's at least something.
You're welcome. I felt the same way but having some of the older tracks is excellent, and having their environments lended to the random track generator could lead to some rather interesting tracks. I am sure that it will have it's share of finely crafted levels that are not randomly generated.

Hopefully it still has the SR style muisic. RR and SR are the only 2 racing series where I leave the music on whenever I play.
You know, I hope so too. The music in Outrun 2 grated on my nerves.

The return of the first games music is a must. I hope every single play environment from the first game has made it into the generator here. To base the generator off those courss really really makes me look forward to this game more than ever. Those were all classic courses that I spent hours with. I Also hope that they include the Game Over Yeah sing alone once again, that always makes me laugh, heh.

Agreed...just give me the top rally cars that 95% of people are gonna use anyway, and it's all good. Like I give a shit about driving some 1971 front wheel drive Datsun.

I hope Lakeside is in the game...that's one of the best racing courses of all time, and looked absolutely gorgeous in the arcade version. Anything after that is gravy.

I doubt that they will include every environment, but I would want to see it as well. The possibillities are endless.
