Where do you buy your anime DVDs?

Where do you guys shop when it comes to anime?

I usually try to stay away from the Suncoasts and Sam Goody, despite their full selections. I find that Best Buy is the place to get pretty cheap anime DVDs, especially when it comes to the first volume that includes a box. I just got the new remastered NGE box with vol 1 for 25 bucks and the other 2 DVDs for 20 bucks each. What a steal! :D

Target is pretty good with certain new releases, like Gungrave for 15 bucks. I've even seen Grave of the Fireflies for 15 as well.

I usually get my import stuff at the local Mitsuwa market, it's expensive, but it beats shipping costs and the fact that bootlegs are everywhere these days makes me stray away from ordering online.

The only anime I buy currently is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I was torrenting them at first, but I wanted to support this series. I get that at Best Buy, they're usually cheaper the first week.

Yeah, when I do buy stuff, it's at Best Buy. But that goes for just about any DVD. They're just always consistently the cheapest place around, and they've got a really good selection, too.

I buy mine at work... since I work in an anime store. :)

Basically, I just take stuff home, then the boss takes it out of my check.

But he just gave me a bonus of sorts... took $400 off of my tab, which basically pays for the presents I'm sending a friend of mine.

I buy my anime from various places (mostly online though sometimes from BestBuy since as you said they offer nices prices on new titles. SunCoast sucks pricewise). :) Amazon.com, deepdiscountdvd.com, righstuf.com, and uln.com. I probably buy things most often from uln.com :)

My friend's boyfriend owns an Asian culture store that sells alot of anime and does special orders, (like on collector's items) so I go there to support them and because I usually get a pretty good deal. :)

Smegging smeg of a smeg!
Aside from Akira, the only anime I've ever purchased was a boot of the first 15 episodes of Monster off of Ebay. The frigging torrents kept crapping out on me for episodes 12-15.

Best Buy or Fry's... usually. Fry's has a way bigger collection than Best Buy and their pricing is the same. I also get anime at Target and sometimes at a comic shop (they don't have a big stock, so i only buy movies or volume one of an anime to "try out" and buy the rest of the series at Fry's or BB).

I also buy at rightstuf when they have something on sale that i want.
