I don't see why that's a problem, considering the same can apply to the X-Men (and other X-spinoffs since Fox has a similar agreement to Sony's Spiderman deal with Marvel) or even with Iron Man's recent success.

- 100+ song soundtrack made up of new material as well as remixes of classic MvsC music. (via Kotaku)
- Character portraits are made up of actual In-Game Models.
 
The lack of Spiderman is very simple - the game is about a year away, and they need to save more major characters for future reveals, events and trailers. If they reveal all the popular characters in the first trailer, it'll be a much weaker marketing campaign down the line.

Tourney viable characters matter to about 1% of the fighting game community. I grew up as a Vega player and did quite well in my local arcades despite the fact that nobody was winning pro tournaments with him. Sometimes the best characters aren't the most fun.

Yeah I mean MvC2 was just an amalgam of a ton of models they had for other Capcom fighters and the Marvel fighting/beat em up games. Thirty characters sounds like a pretty nice number for a new game.

Marvel seperates genre's for each type of game license. It doesn't just license out individual characters. There you go.. :D
 
I just had a thought, if they're really going for extra content with the music and story mode. What if we have the UNLOCKABLE MARVEL ARCADE GAMES (CotA, MSH, XMvSF, etc) That would be so awesome.

I'm glad it's disc-based cause they can shove my more stuff in it like loads of tracks, artwork, behind-the-scene stuff, comics as unlockables maybe, and bigger audience.

My purchase is essentially an investment in non-Street Fighter Capcom fighting games and an insane Marvel Versus Capcom 4. Don't let me down!

Isn't Deadpool in almost everything right now? To not have him in this game would be stupid. That being said, I know he will be part of my team no matter how shitty or good he is. :lol

Because I don't play in tourneys and rage quit online if someone beats me because winning is the most important thing ever. 6 characters? I don't know if I've used Psylock or Magneto or Sentinel more than 3 or 4 times when not picking random. I have a shitload of fun playing as SonSon or Venom or even Servbot or Dan.
I am not saying everyone should feel the same way, but how is it so hard to understand the people who want a ton of character's views on it? I couldn't care less about balance, you obviously do.
