Emma Frost is pure win. I just wonder what they could do with her in a fighting game is the question at hand.

As far as the female persuasion on Team Marvel I don't really have a clue. Off tops if they can make it happen then Scarlet Witch will get a nod because of her current status in the Marvel Universe. Of course we'll get Storm and Psylocke but anyone else is just a question mark. I'd love to see Domino because she'd seem like a good fit for the game. As usual it's just wait and see on this subject.

And I agree that Robert Downey Jr. should voice Iron Man. He's now synonymous with the character just like if they did Ultimate Nick Fury you need Sam Jackson as well. Wolverine will be taken care of by Steve Blum of course. Reuben Langdon will voice Dante and Kae Araki will voice Felicia. Everybody else so far is a question or a toss up. Hopefully they won't skimp on the VA work because it's just as important as any other factor of the game.

Continuity? MvC knows not of this foul beast. Anyway, she's by far the most mainstream X-Women (rivalled only by Kitty Pryde and Rogue) so she should be in, especially before no-ones like X-23 and Psylocke.

Jean Grey has been dead for several years, so Emma Frost would absolutely be the best choice for a popular X-Woman. As for Psylocke, yes you can argue that she's not really relevant anymore. But X-23 is actually getting her own series, which would be to Marvel's benefit to include in MvC3's roster.

Dead Pool could be voiced by Nolan North, he has done it before and with success. As far as characters go how about some Carnage this time, based on his many comic iterations he has an attack style that could be much different than venom. Cloak & Dagger would be pretty awesome. On the capcom side Megaman has to be in of course and might as well show some Zero love while they are at it, I'd love to see Captain Commando return but who knows on that one.

Spidey should be voiced by the guy who voiced him in the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. He does videogames too (he voiced Destroyman in both No More Heroes games) so it wouldn't be hard to get him.

Good picks overall, I have no problem with them.

It's just that part of me is laughing a bit at the notion that the first peak of seeing "official" English voice acting for some of the Vampire crew won't even be in an actual DS game, but in a Marvel one. But hey, whatever, bring on the likes of Talbain, Hsien-ko/Lei Lei and Donovan in this game, and let's hope for the best.

I think Emma has got a good chance, she's really up there as Marvel's top sex idol with a drooling male fanbase that rivals Morrigan. And I can see them giving her a Super Armor mode like Colossus had in MvC2. And even though I haven't really stayed up to date with comics I LOVE the idea of X23 being in the game. I remember her reminding me of Kula from KoF, who I also love (and in a way they ARE the same character only with different DNA daddies), when she first appeared in X-Men Evolution. And I could be wrong, but I see the character being a good choice for the Japanese fanbase since I'm sure Capcom will release it over there. I dunno, just a hunch.

As far as voices, it would be pretty epic to see RDJ, but I HIGHLY doubt they would go that far. I'd love to be wrong though. I have the feeling we'll PROBABLY see a lot of the voice actors from recent Marvel Animated shows and the Ultimate Alliance games (I REALLY want to hear John Kassir as Deadpool, Nolan North fans be damned!)

As far as Capcom voices though, Morrigan and Felicia in English video games aren't new. They were given English voices for Cross Edge (Erin Fitzgerald and Melissa Fahn respectively), and they used the same pool of VAs that Capcom used for SFIV so I find it very possible and likely for them to use the same VAs. But then we're talking about a JRPG compared to an "Americanized" Comic Book crossover.

I'm casual and I find TvC a trillion times more accessible than Marvel

It just seems to me that having command normals for specific moves in combos in less casual-friendly than mashing a set pattern of regular buttons. I know that moving the stick from a neutral to a forward and then back to a neutral position while inputting attacks for a combo isn't something that is that intuitive for casuals.

I'd also say that increasing the number of special moves that rely on a dragon punch or reverse dragon punch motion isn't casual-friendly. QCF and QCB seem to be a lot easier for casual players to reliably input and chain in combos.

I actually consider myself a casual fighting game player too.

I don't think what's happening right now matters, though. People are saying stuff like "such and such can't do this anymore, such and such blah blah", but the fact is, DMC3 Dante is in and Wolvie uses the old school costume, so continuity isn't an issue. Pun intended.

Still, I can't say I know what the fuck is going on in comics, I didn't know back in the 90s, either. All I know about comics is that Tony Stark is a glorious asshole, and Wolverine fought an alien alongside a samurai.

I'm all about Rival Schools characters being added, as it's my all time favorite Capcom series. I'd be happy with any representation, but I hope they go beyond the main Taiyo trio. (Batsu, Hinata & Kyosuke.)

I'd imagine if they did pick someone else, they'd go with Akira, which would be nice. But I'd really love to see someone like Roy, Hayato or Kyoko and some of the less conventional characters like Nagare or Yurika get a chance.

How can you tell the difference? What fo you mean by characters from the 90's? Deadpool? Carnage? Who is a character from this decade people should ask for? Following Spike's threads it seems like the only new characters Marvel's created in the last ten years are Wolverine clones. If this were sprite-based I wouldn't put it past Capcom to re-draw a claw in every frame of Wolverine and call him Daken.
