Gigabowser was significantly more entertaining than the more serious console warriors of this forum; his schtick had the merit to show how retarded console wars can be.

All we're left with are basement dwellers who oscillate between masturbating about which console pushes the most pixel or which female pixel character has the nicest ass, while boycotting games if the said female character doesn't match their standards.

It's not too late to free Gigabowser, moderation.

What's the purpose of a post like this? Honestly, calling for someone to be banned out of the blue without even having the provocation of being in the midst of an argument with them is just obnoxious, scummy behavior and does more to erode the quality of discourse on this site than, like, being a fanboy or cheerleader or whatever you think he's guilty of.

We will all know. Because its always the same set of reasons everyone else gets banned.

But lets not drag this further, nor that of Giga. The community lost a specific sheep and it now needs to cope.

Getting back on track, RE Engine ought to do deal with Switch 2 hardware, but i wonder how its weakness - open world - will translate when a game of such arises. Low clocks be damned, you can only work with so much.

Star Wars may not be appreciated as a game, but it's a technically ambitious open world which runs at 30fps on Series S, and which runs arguably better on switch whole not looking much worse (and better in some cases). If they can do that within 6 months of the console's release, the switch 2 will be fine.

How did you come to the conclusion that open world was it's weakness? DKB runs at 60fps fully open world. The only time it suffers significant drops, the world isn't even open.

Star Wars Outlaws runs at a solid 30fps with RTGI and RT reflections during the open world.

MKW runs at a solid 60fps no matter how much stuff is on screen during it's open world moments.

Only thing it has issues with so far is UE5, and it doesn't really have issues with it, it's just missing everything that makes it different from UE4 and apparently that's just a default Switch 2 setting.

Switch 2 is cooking just fine with open worlds. However, that CPU has to be upclocked eventually, it'll be a necessity as we move into more true current gen games (aka Witcher 4).

They did it with the OG Switch for both the CPU and GPU, I'm sure they'll be convinced by a third party to do it again.

I have the impression people read my post incorrectly. I am not saying Switch 2 is bad at open worlds, rather, RE Engine. I'd love to see how Switch 2 handles a RE Engine open world given that open world is a weakness of RE Engine. Apologies if this wasn't that clear.
 
I know a few people have asked already, and it seems like it won't be answered, but what did the Chris Farley guy actually post to get banned? I'm pretty new here, don't know him, don't actually care. I'm aware he has a history of weird/annoying posts and has been banned before, but I wonder what the final straw was.

I'm really just curious what qualifies as bannable offense around here. I tried to go back through and see what it was, but it must have been removed. It seems like the thing to do is to leave the post up for posterity and as an example of what not to do for others.

*unless it's something immediately upsetting like an image of animal/child abuse or other disturbing subject matter.
