Where Ya Curly Mustaches At?! Marvel vs Capcom 3 Hype Thread of Scoops!

It's funny that the only thing the guy who made that could've done was just make the logo and leave it at that, because it really, really looks good, aside from the fact that Capcom wouldn't change their logo color to red...

And it's been a while since I last used IRC, but shouldn't these 10 or so people that saw this "announcement video" still have it on their HDD?

I was just looking at the Cover art for the PSN/XBL release of MvC2 and I just wanted to say that I hope Udon isn't involved with the art of this game (that was Udon right?). Although I think it will be more than likely that they will be since Udon has a good relationship with Capcom (I think they have touched everything Street Fighter related in some way in the last few years) and they have worked with Marvel in the past.

If anything I hope they use their more appealing artist.

As I said before, Ill be surprised if this is a PS360 game since I dunno where Capcom is pulling the assets from, however I'll be gladly surprised if I'm wrong (I only have sticks for PS3, makes life easier ... but that doesn't matter to me too much, Ill but the game anyways, lol)

I do hope its a mostly fresh roster, from both sides. Capcom made some good strides with Tatsunoko and I hope they keep that up. Marvel has done some great character stuff since .. and they have Miracleman now!

I have the feeling it'll be like TvC UAS. They'll probably use Shinkiro (or another Capcom artist) for the character/menu art, and then use Udon for Comic-Book endings.

Though speaking of Udon, I recall, just before SFIV came out, Udon said they were interested in doing an MvC comic, and that Marvel would be gauging the success of the likes of SFIV before they would give the green light. So if MvC3 is happening, I would imagine an actual comic is possible now as well.

That actually says Batman son of Superman :lol

Anyway someone please leak something NOW !!

And a small nibble of information: There will be one new character from the Resident Evil franchise in this game. Who? You’ll have to guess.

Finally Barry gets his time in the spotlight. He'll be like Dan where instead of taunts he'll spew out random quotes!

I'd say Wesker. Not only cuz he's the kind of guy most suited for a game like this, but honestly...these game always fall short when it comes to villainous representation on both sides of the argument. And I honestly wouldn't mind the likes of Dictator and Akuma sitting out, if it meant more interesting villains like Wesker, Sigma, Red Arremer got in their stead.

Wow... first time I learn about this game, it doesn't look that bad.

But the GIANT MAN hand is fucking funny. :lol

With Natal you could recreate Giant Man's onscreen support with your own arm on the 360 version of MvC3...that would be awesome :lol

Eh, that article seems to pretty much put everything "known" about MvC3 together.

Really, it's coming. It's just a matter of who's in, what it's going to look like, and when it's gonna hit.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3:` it’s about time we got a real, high-definition upgrade to one of the best fighting games ever created. From the information we have heard the game will be disc-based (no more XBLA or PSN for MvC fans) and the graphics will be seriously upgraded, running at a full 1080P. Another little hint was the fact that Marvel-employee Agent M (Ryan Penagos) was in Hawaii this past week, at the same hotel, showing off something he could not yet talk about. Oh anyone else notice the Twitter account for MvC3 has popped back up, making tweets about this and that almost daily. Something is about to happen with that franchise and I’m willing to guarantee this is just that announcement. The only information still scarce on this game is that of the roster, we can confirm that Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm, and a few others will be back; but the team behind MvC3 have said they will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes (on the disc). Surely the unlock-able gameplay will be back and in full force.

As far as gameplay goes the Capcom team decided to stick with what we know best, 2D – that being said it is not tradition 2D fighting, think more of a cross between Street Fighter IV and the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (sounds epically awesome to us). Other details, screenshots, trailers, and more will be released next week once the official embargo lifts. Another rumor my mole told me was that gamers attending this year’s E3 2010 conference in Los Angeles will have a chance to go hands-on with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – it should ship later this year or early 2011 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. There are many other rumors swirling around but we think we pled our case just fine, MvC3 is coming to next-gen consoles and will be officially announced very soon (like next week).

That might turn my friends off if their assumption is correct. My friends dislike TvC graphic, and prefer sprites 2D only. According to article, it wouldn't be traditional 2D fighting game and it will be crossed up between SF4 and MvC2 which will be interesting for me.
Instead of sprites and 3D backgrounds, it'll be 3D characters and 2D backgrounds! D:

Actually my silly dream character, considering that Disney owns Marvel and that Capcom used to develop games for Disney in the 90's would be Capcom's version of Scrooge McDuck.

Chaining epic pogo-fuck combos would make my life complete.

Barry? Where's Barry?

*shrugs* Well I'm sorry, but he's probably...

I'd assume Leon, since he's the face of Resident Evil as far as selling games is concerned.

Nah, Leon maybe starred in two best-selling RE games, but Wesker is the face of RE - the main villain that was behind everything and that made an appearance in most games (even if it was only a cameo). Not to mention, RE5 is still hot, just look at Wesker in Lost Planet 2.

Of course I wouldn't say no to both Wesker and Leon (and Jill :D) being in the game.

So hype. This could be the real thing. It's actually going to happen!

Arnold Tsang? Yeah he's indistinguishable from a good Capcom artist. The rest of Udon... not so much. I actually like 'em, but if it comes down to a really good artist that Capcom traditionally contracts or Udon guys, then fuck those motherfuckers. Give me the real, not some Canadians doing their best impression of it.

What? Shinkiro art fits perfectly with Marvel, Kinu and Ikeno art are the ones that made Marvel characters look all animeish.
You're insane. Kinu has done some of the best work for Capcom of any of their stable of artists. I'd put her above Bengus, Akiman, Daigo and damn sure Shinkiro.

Pulling assets from? What are you talking about? Game assets? Talent? If the former then it's likely all new. I doubt they'd use the low-poly TvC models or the aesthetically challenged SFIV stuff. If the latter, why wouldn't Capcom outsource the majority of the heavy-lifting as was done with... all of their recently released fighting games.

I don't just want Dante in the game, he has to be god tier. That would be the only way to justify the cruel injustice that Capcom characters had to deal with in MvC2.

I think they will use the low poly TvC models and the whole Capcom side from that game will return. The reason why I think they will use TvC models is because they are simple, which means they can add tons of characters.

Have they said anything about costumes? It wouldn't feel right if all the marvel characters didn't have their 90s suits.

Edit- What am I talking about it hasn't even been announced yet, of course they haven't said anything about it.
