if this is true, i'm curious at all the obscure characters they will pick over popular ones people have been begging for.
 
I figure 26-30 fighters on disc. If they hit 40 fighters and not a one of them is a Phoenix Wright character, Imma fuckin' nerd rage.

That and if Gred Land is in ANY WAY involved, are the only two examples of me NRin'.
 
I'm only wondering how imbalanced this game will be compared to MvC2 (the current king). If they can't at least make half the roster legitimate, then the whole thing kinda seems like a waste (a waste that I'll buy regardless).

Like I said before, I want them to go balls all with 100 semi-balanced characters. Balance should not be the focus, the ridiculous amount of characters and options should be. Im curious about any new mechanics they'll add, if any.

At this point, I doubt balance is that much in the way of focus much, if at all.

In the end, Capcom and Marvel both know that trying to make a balanced game doesn't matter, when fanservice appeal and the "OMFG" factor are what will butter the bread.

So I agree. Let them go ahead and knock themselves out with crafting a uber roster that they can't hope to balance out. Much like MvC2 before it, it still could be a fun game on the casual end, with probably a steep learning curve for the expert/tourney level. :lol
 
I guess this time instead of having two wolverines they can have two wolverines plus boobs.

Anyway if true, hope some more Resident Evil and Lost Planet characters show up.

As for the graphics. Well I think TvC looks great so a HD version of just those graphics would be fine. Hell if this game just came out on the wii, it would just ad to the growing reasons for me to get one. I mean TvC already is a big reason in it self.

Still this idea of a huge roster kinda worries me, I was really hoping for a fresh new take on MvC that really brought the crossover fanservice back and not MvC2 2.0. I REALLY hope Capcom proves me wrong or makes the new characters worth it.

What if with major Capcom game releases and big Marvel events Capcom adds fighters to MVC3 in addition to reglar DLC characters? Pre-order Resident Evil 6 and get 2 main characters for MVC. New Marvel Summer Event = New Cosmic Deadpool...well you get the point
 
If they make the characters payed DLC, then I am done with this generation. Seriously.

I want 60+ characters on the disc damn it. You can charge DLC for their costumes or other crap but DO NOT FUCKING CHARGE ME FOR NEW CHARACTERS!

On the note of balance, if they make enough characters it will produce enough "god tier" characters to make it playable on a competitive level. I mean competitive MVC2 basically boils down to like 15 characters, maybe with MVC3 they can expand that to 25 competitive characters and that would still be better than most other fighting games.

Like I said, Jean and those other characters I listed need to be God-tier as well.

Seems like he makes his post first then he adds in the quote afterward. I have seen some people do it, I don't think he is doing it to grab attention. I mean he IS after all a junior member. :D

Will be very interesting to see where they go with the Marvel side of things. I mean Wolverine and the X-Men don't really go walking about in their Spandex anymore.

not really, MS slow Cert on updates and Sony Triple Cert will ensure that there won't be constant updates.
 
So who wants to bet we'll see at least one SF4 character? I'm hoping for Rufus, but they could pick Juri as well.

Gill would be interesting choice for Capcom villian side as well!

I'm hoping for C.Viper.

Rufus is one of the worst character designs to come out in SF. Just looking at him makes me want to punch an old lady -_-

He's almost like a jiggly homer simpson in the yellow jumpsuit... it makes me shudder everytime the Fat Motion(TM) rolls onto the screen... and yet, I can't help being mesmerized somehow by the constant motion of his blobbery.

To the individual who said Carnage and Deadpool needs to be in the game (many of you actually), I fully support that idea.

If anything, I am sure Marvel would require Capcom to include all of their movie licensed characters to be in the game to help gain exposure to those characters -- so maybe any of the following could make it in some fashion: Doctor Strange, Ant Man, Thor, Loki, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Abomination, Bucky Barnes and Red Skull (who I had no idea is being played by Hugo Weaving!).

Next week can't come soon enough.
 
Id be happy if Carnage stays the fuck away from this game, shitty leftover from the 90's and who needs another clone'ish character.

I'd like SF4 a lot less if it didn't have Rufus, that's for sure. I wouldn't have anyone to play!

I wonder if there will be new voice actors? the ones Capcom used before I kinda iconic at this point.

Not to me. Wolverine and the X-men > the old 90s shows.

Marvel has plenty of voice talent to pull from with their new made for dvd movies and cartoons.

Wow, if this game gets revealed at E3 it would be insanely huge news. I hope they dont have an awkward reveal like SFIV or TVC, all the japanese only gameplay reveals left most of the world unaware.
