Would Dante be expected to have a sword on his back? If it is him, you'd think his sword would be included.

Unless he can use his multiple weapons during gameplay?

I will be disappointed that they will have 60 characters and
20 of them is SF..
 
I might be going out on a limb here but could the guy with the popped collar be Nathan Spencer? He may not have a long coat but he does have a popped collar and glasses (I see glasses in the picture)
 
I really doubt that this game would have 60 or more characters. The only reason MvC2 has so many characters is because they're copy&pasted out of a dozen other 2D fighters. While they might be able to use assets from TvC and maybe SF4 that isn't nearly enough to fill out a roster that size.

Well see the thing there is, they had to do Tatsunoko characters from scratch (I don't mean graphics, I mean movesets and everything) They should be able to fill the roster much easier in MvC3 because they have the luxary of the "original" Marvel characters' movesets.
 
Hopefully Frameworks mean that everybody gets a piece of this.
Ps360 Wii and PC. Would confirm the best fighting game of all time :D

The character in the marvel logo is skinnier and wearing boots IMO, but yeah i know it was a long shot/joke post.

Im fine with just Phoenix making it in. They must have some of the work done (at least on the moveset and stuff) considering it was going to be in TvsC, so im thinking it will happen.

The second from the left looks like Dr. Doom. First from the left OR the fourth from the left is Captain America. Hard to tell which is supposed to be him.

As for Capcom side Chun Li second from right is the only one I can safely make out. The rest is BS speculation although I'm guessing whatever is the farthest left is something people must be familiar with but I don't know what Capcom game that's from.

I really hope they branch out on both the capcom and marvel sides, to many SF and mutants in the last games.

Also somewhat conflicted, I really don't want them to waste a slot on cable, but if deadpool really is in, I kinda want him in for 2v2.

I am rooting for taskmaster, songbird, PYM(as the wasp) irredeemable ant man, and Ares.
 
yeah that does look more like Hawkeye in silhouette than Wolverine. And for those wondering if he's popular enough, he's a classic Avenger and is going to be getting a big push as a member of the main Avengers squad along with Cap, Thor, and Iron Man after the Siege event finishes.

Also, calling it now (again): Sentry/Void as the boss character.
 
Id really like to see a couple rival schools characters and more of Capcoms non fighting game characters. Outside of that I don't think they can do much wrong with Marvel, I hope to see some less popular one though.

This game need weekly updates like Smash Bros Brawl, with a fighting game, I don't mind to be spoiled.

I'm shocked by Spider-Man and Mega Man absence from the trailer, two iconic character from both companies.
 
Wait, why does everyone think that's Hawkeye? Unless that's actually Bullseye, there's no Hawkeye.

Clint Barton is still Ronin, isn't he? I assume they're using the characters as they appear in the comics over the last 5 years?

Not possible since The Hulk, and Iron Man among others were in the trailer.

But really, I hope they get a ton of characters in the game. Forget a singleplayer story or w/e, just keep adding characters, and balance it to the best of their ability. Put in a Endless Battle type mode like what's coming in SSFIV, and release it. Day 1 purchase.
