Where Ya Curly Mustaches At?! Marvel vs Capcom 3 Hype Thread of Scoops!

I just realized something. TvC = Eighting, SF4 = Dimps. External developers. With MT Framework being used for MvC3, doesn't that pretty much confirm that it is developed internally within Capcom Japan?

Niitsuma is producing/directing, isn't he working for Eighting?

I'm thinking it's some kind of collaboration between someone in Capcom Japan and 8ing (following the success of TvC).

What you just realised is the thing that I've been thinking about since seeing the trailer. =P

He's still in the game's data in the Arcade, PSX and Saturn in the US versions. All of his shit was fully translated and everything. But he was based of a Japanese comic so I don't see any hope of him returning.

2.5 hours till the embargo ends.

Can't wait.

You're free to get hype about the cabin!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my, oh my. Only 2.5 hours? NICEEE CAN'T WAIT.

Hank Pym is in the brown and gold on the left. The dude in the black and white suit is Noh-Varr.

Bout time he came back, it's like they forgot about him after he learned he was working for the evil dudes and split. I really like his character, actually.

Oh, and I'd love to see Quicksilver in the game, I enjoy that feisty bastard.

Hmm, pretty exciting. I knew that it was most likely going to just be like the SFIV reveal. Hoping a few new screenshots are released when the embargo really expires. And I knew planetxbox was full of crap. :lol

No? Niitsuma is a Capcom producer. He does not work for Eighting.

They are going to make this game so broken. Let's just hope half the cast is jsut as broken as the top characters. I look forward to it. *Prays for SFIV trial system for MVC3*

Art style in that video looked more like Tatsunoko then Street Fighter IV, so... maybe Wii Exclusive?

I think Capcom knows their crowd, doing MVC3 on Wii only is just dumb

After the release of MvC2 on both HD platforms? Doubtful

But, I wouldn't rule it out appearing on Wii (since TatVsCap proved to be a success on Wii)

It's definitely a 360/PS3 game, unless you think that somehow all the leaks were correct about the game EXCEPT the platform. The reason it looks like TvC is because it's the same leads. Ryota Niitsuma and Akihito Kadowaki were both producers on TvC.

Dear E.A,

Thank you for no longer owning the rights to Marvel fighting games or whatever that retarded deal was. It was a horrible decade but now we can put that all behind us.

Love, THE WORLD.

And since Marvel is part of Disney now, could this be a sign that we might get some good Capcom Disney games in the future, just like back in the day? Most likely NOT, but I can dream can't I?

Well, Capcom DOES seem to have something like that in them.

I heavily doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if this would end up on all platforms, though. Capcom has the necessary building blocks for a Wii version in place, and I believe they were not disappointed at all in TvCs performance, so it would be kind of dumb not to create a Wii version if it's remotely feasible.

I read the link in the op and it said nothing so that's why I asked. I haven't been following this much but the trailer got me interested ^^

Ryu's Shinkuu Hadoken is pretty much exactly TvC at the end of the trailer. Bic clothing billows and blows kinda like IV, but the character model is a nice "comic shaded" take on TvC's.

Morrigan looks awesome in that trailer... her TvC model in game is kinda weird, but that CG-ish one here is quite pretty. Seeing her paired with modern-day Ironman... haha.

This style is cool... seems like it's comic look is more derived from it's shading, than the "drawing". A bit of a shame, as I loved the "Japanese unique take on American artwork" look of the 90's games, this DOES seem to lack that personality, but Marvel's style has changed a lot since then, too.

I personally hope it plays like TvC. That game has great, unique-feeling characters, a great "comeback" system, doesn't feel over spam happy or cheap, and is generally just a more fun, better game than MvC2, to me, anywho. MvC2 was a LOT more fun before it became ALL about the "broken" aspects to me, and after discovering them, it made the game drop several rungs on my "fav fighters!" list.

Oh, I'd personally rather see Sheva than Chris, anywho ^_^ C'mon Sheva VS Storm! XD

Just saw the teaser...

I'm pretty glad it's the TvC guys at Capcom working on this, and not the SF4 guys at Capcom. This frees up Ono to make a new Darkstalkers at the same time! :D

There would be far too much backlash if this game was not on PS3/360...no chance in hell it is a Wii exclusive...will it make it to wii? That is the question you should be asking.

Darkstalkers/Vampire team 4 life. I hope they add more characters from those games.
Well IMO the character on the far left of the Capcom team looks like Felecia...

hmm i had completely forgotten that capcom was working on getting mt framework running on wii.

maybe when capcom announces platforms everyone will be happy :)

Could we really withstand so much win though :lol ?

Glad to see Deadpool in the Marvel logo :D

EDIT: MT framework+the Shinkuu Hadoken model means PS360 at the very least.

Ofcourse not, that would be the dumbest move ever. Like I said before, you don't release MvC2 on XBLA/PSN for nothing. It makes sense that it's at least coming to those platforms.

Or they could do a Street Fighter Alpha 4! :)

MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3 TEASER TRAILER!!!!

Based on the trailer, the confirmed characters are...

Ryu
Wolverine
Iron Man
Morigan
Hulk
Chris

....seems like GAF already caught on. I got so excited about the announcement, that I didn't even bother to look through the pages to confirm as to whether or not you guys already knew of the MvC3 trailer. :lol :lol
Supposedly Dante and Deadpool are confirmed too. Now I can hopefully team up Deadpool and Cable, YES!

Will not be pleased, if it doesnt feature "i wanna take you for a ride"

Judging by the trailer (which admittedly, I only saw in bad quality on my phone on my way to work), it looks like they're aiming for it to be a bit darker. I'm not sure if the jazzy tunes will work with that. I really loved the lighthearted / less serious MvsC2. I'm one of those who never quite got why people wanted to get the music replaced and whatnot. Anyway, we'll see where they take this. I'm sure it'll be great either way! :D

TvC was reasonably balanced in the sense that pretty much every character can compete to some degree. Hopefully it will be similar in MvC3, no 5 viable characters out of 56 please!
