30~ish spots across all the chars in Marvel/Capcom, hmmmmm...I think we'll see Spiderman, Mr. Fantastic, Shuma-Gorath, Thor, Emma Frost, Juggernaut, She-hulk, Arthur, Haggar, Amaterasu, Hsien-Ko, Rad Spencer, Q-Bee, Captain Commando at the least.
 
Ive been thinking for a while now and I noticed someone missing, Mega Man! though when it comes to VS games, Its always Ryu for Capcom. Im wondering though which Mega Man they're going to use. Hope its either classic or just go with Rock Volnutt again!

Seriously. When I imagined the trailer, I always envisioned Spidey being the one fighting Ryu. Though hopefully it means the Web-Slinger gets a nice reveal trailer all his own, with Josh Keaton providing the voice work (after Spectacular Spider-Man, I won't accept anyone else).

The last game was a combination of characters/sprites developed for the previous 5+ years.

In the silhouettes I think that the person with the bar raising from the shoulder may be Gambit. It looks that there is a collar and I don't recall Deadpool ever having one.

"time constraints" means that they have a set time, not a slot number.

Okay, we know there's 30+ characters. We've seen like 23 silhouettes. And there's no silhouette for Mega Man.

Well now that we have an HD trailer I guess it is confirmed that it was all CG but Ryu at the end. I really wished those models were in-game assets.
 
This announcement is perfect since I used to play MvC2 back in the day and I was planning on trying to get back in to fighting games again soon. I loved how they had Hulk-Chris fighting Hulk. :lol
 
I wouldn't mind more Third Strike characters. Instead of 'Gief, throw Hugo in there.

Rolento, Haggar, Demitri, Q... the list goes on!

Man, Capcom has such an awesome back catalog of characters to choose from.

I was hoping for at least the same amount that MvC2 had. I mean, MvC2 had over 60...I didn't want the roaster cut in half...
 
All I need is Ryu, Megaman, and Sakura. 1 out of 3... the waiting begins. X, Zero and Okami would be fine too.

Mayor Hagar would be a nice wish, but I know better.

Btw, MvC2 had 56 characters. Not over 60.

Especially since they've got some new chars from recent games to add in too. They could have Trish from Devil May Cry as well as classic chars like Zero and Tron Bonne.
 
Why are people crying for character inflation?

Let them take us for a ride before we worry if the number is too low.

My brain must've switched the numbers around, I kept thinking it was 65, but it was 56. Even still...30+ just means there's gonna be characters some people liked from the last game that are not in this one.

I would've liked most of the characters from MvC2, with some new.
 
After seeing the Hi-Res pic? That is definitely Dante. I had my doubts. Also at the left, that has to be Deadpool -- unless Leonardo from the Ninja Turtles hopped into this shit randomly..
