I'm going to have to wait for more proof on that (As in, the game in my hands) before I accept that. For sanity sake, you understand.

I'm sure that there are production reasons for the decreased cast number that several franchises underwent through in the transition to this gen, this one being yet another franchise added to the list. However, the existence of an explanation doesn't mean that I must like their choices.

Anyway, I'll drop this matter, but I had already posted even before this announcement about how I'd be disappointed with this possible choice.

So you'd prefer the game to come out in 2012/2013 with 60+ characters than come out in 2011 with 30?

Hopefully with the reduced roster they didn't get rid of Jill for Chris. That would make me displeased. Frank West, Jill and Chris vs. Marvel Zombies (however unlikely) would be excellent.

A smaller roster also means fringe characters are less likely which is a shame. Hayato was one of my favorites in MvC2. It'd be awesome to see Amaterasu make the line-up.

I'm interested in seeing what sorts of stages will be in the game as well. Character specific stages could be a thing of beauty.

In the big high resolution pic you can sorta make out a silhouette that looks like Trish. Left, above Deadpool.

I haven't seen too many of them in high-res, but they're saying the pictures like that Morrigan one above are using the in-game models? I really have a hard time believing that, especially since there may have to be up to six of these models on-screen during the game at one time. But if they've really pulled that off, wow.

...I still really can't believe it.

Looking at the super high res one, definitely looks like Dormammu to me. The shoulder spikes look too low to be Mephisto's cape and the gloves line up pretty well to the art I posted too.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger, but that's what the official MvC3 twitter said. Those character pics (like Morrigan) are in game not art. It will be glorious if they can pull this off. MT Framework is a fantastic engine and as we've seen with RE5, it can put out some damn impressive graphics.
