Perhaps. I silhouetted the Frank West render, and resized it over top the poster silhouette, It's virtually a pixel for pixel match. Would make a gif if I knew how.
 
So..based on what I think I can pick out/what we've seen.

Marvel:
Wolverine
Captain America (shoulders look kinda spiky in the trailer logo which leads me to believe its Steve)
Iron Man
Hulk
Deadpool
Super Skrull
Dr. Doom
Dormammu (I'm about 95 percent sure that it's him and not Mephisto, there's a few details like his gloves and that Mephisto's hair usually isn't shown as being actual fire)

Capcom:
Felicia
Morrigan
Ryu
Chun-Li
Chris Redfield
Dante
Rad Spencer
Trish
Frank West (far right in the black/red pic)
 
Mephisto and Super Skrull would be awesome additions.

Who says pieces of the character art can't be mirrored? That trish silhouette and that character portrait I posted are identical, just mirrored. Of course, I also thought it was Frank West originally, so honestly I'm not arguing this too hard, I can see it either way. The camera is a bit more boxy and not just a round-ish lump.
 
There's also a guy holding up a clawed hand in the black/red pic that looks like it may be Sabretooth, though there is a random spike next to him that might be part of that character model as well.

OMG OMG OMG OMG so awesome. If true, Super-Skrull confirms Capcom don't give a shit about what they should do with the roster, and are going balls-out again. Fantastic!

Uh... really? The textures, yeah, but there's clearly brush strokes on some of them and there's not a single polygon edge visible at such a high resolution.

Above Ryu's fist in the black/red pic - you can see what looks like sunglasses. I'd say its either him or Wesker.

Well they are bullshots of course, and I guess they have been tampered with, but in-game models definitely.

No, there are definitely polygonal parts visible. Wolverine's belt and boots for example.

Ah that makes sense. I still think they'd add Hawkeye before they'd add Super Skrull (not that I wouldn't love Super Skrull).

That said, Clint is still Ronin for the moment (I realize he's going to be Hawkeye again after Siege), and you can't really see a quiver in the silhouette.

Oh ok. I could kind of see that. I think it's Dante but I wouldn't rule out your picks either.

The other poster makes it pretty obvious that that's the Super Skrull. Hawkeye would be cool though.

I hope you're not just trolling because I agree. Maybe it's just a side-effect of it being prerendered cg, but all of the Marvel characters, particularly Hulk looked pretty... I dunno... uninteresting (?). The design of the characters remind me of one of the Marvel UA commercials. Lacking any personality. Just a cg representation of a comic character with few interesting stylistic embellishments.

I'm not judging the quality of the game based on the trailer, just saying the trailer has me a bit scared as to the direction they may go.

i'm not, i can agree with everything you've said. i wish they would use the former SNK artist like in TvC.
 
Ouch...only shooting for ~30 characters? I honestly didn't expect MvC2 numbers, but I was hoping for 40. The problem with only having ~30 characters is that you can pretty much already name about half of the characters from each side. With a core of "must-have" characters from each side, a smaller roster means less chance for returning MvC2 characters and new, obscure characters.

I'm going to cross my fingers that we get mid/high 30s roster with minimal fluff and that we get a SMvC3 that goes for 50+. So far this game sounds like it is meeting/exceeding all of my expectations minus the roster size.

Super Skrull will be a morpher so I can see them wanting to use him.
