I'm from Toledo, Ohio. Born and raised. Good city but sometimes idiots get in the way.(Gang Violence) But for the most part its fun if you stay active.
We have an okay night life but can be ruined by ignorant ppl!! (sometime my black ppl pain me)

Well tell me how living where you are!!!

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Sucks. Don't come here, ever... unless you enjoy pain and suffering.

We have a nice mall, though.

I live in Seattle. It's really nice and doesn't rain nearly as much as you all believe it does, but don't tell that to the Southern Californians, we don't want them moving up here.

This is the view from the park by my house, I drive by it every morning on my way to work.

Yellow Springs, Ohio. It is a very small, very hippie ass town but very laid back and a very cool community. Antioch College is here, which became famous years ago for its policy where sexual partners must ask permission to do each bit of uh, foreplay and sex ("May I touch your breast?") or risk getting in trouble for rape. Also, Leonard Nimoy, John Lithgow and one of the Johns from They Might Be Giants went to school there, along with a few other notable folks who I forget.

Dave Chappelle lives here too. It's weird/cool seeing him every now and again.

If you're ever in Ohio, it's worth a visit.

Word up to fellow Ohioan SiliconBean!

Albuquerque, NM, USA, Earth.

It's hotter than Satan's gooch down here.

Edit:

Speaking of gooch, I really miss Hawaii. I'd like to move there if I could.

Montgomery, New Jersey

Very ritsy sction of New Jersey I hate it here sometimes as everyone has their head so far up thier ass.

I'm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's humid and inhospitable here during the summer. I think I prefer the winter.

WTF? Dave chappelle live sin Ohio?

Haha I am originally from Kentucky but my mom bailed me out of there pretty quick. Don't go there. ever.

I lived most of my child hood in Alabama/florida and I really consider Destin FL my hometown(its where I went to high school). Nice little beach town that is unfortunately being overrun by more and more tourists/condos every year.

I'm coming from Gummersbach which is a little town in front of Cologne.

IT'S IN GERMANY! :P ISN'T THIS CRAZY?

It's quite okay here.

Omaha, Nebraska. It's currently College World Series time here, which is always the most exciting time of the year in the city. Basically it's our current claim to fame. Well, except for our unofficial claim as "indie music capital of the world" what with Saddle Creek Records being based here and what not. Very culturally sound, great music venues and an important Midwestern economic base. Sorry, if I'm sounding like a Chamber of Commerce commercial, but I just gots me some hometown pride.

Tegucigalpa Honduras

I hope to get out of here soon :/, I've never leave my country
in the other side there is still things that aren't exploited because is a 3rd world country so is very fascinating to be part of the change.

Omaha is slowly becoming my second hometown, see how my fiance was born and raised there. I'm even getting married there in two weeks.

Omaha is a really great town, maybe the midwestern "indie music capital," but New York and Seattle (Sub Pop, Barsuk, Suicide Squeeze, Up Recordings, K Records, Kill Rock Stars, etc.) have much bigger scenes.

The shack next to Carl's house...

ugh you know SnowWhites that huge ass place that sells burgers for like 60 cents...I ate like 11 of them once in a showdown with my freinds and I threw up right in the middle of that place and they said I was banned :lol.

Jersey Shore after prom memories :*(

Does the place still smell like soup?

Maxi Ohioans FTW!!!!

But man they banned you because their food turned your stomach I would have told them I would be looking into taking legal action against them.. But :lol :lol :lol :lol

I come from Puerto Rico. Eet ees an island weeth many problems, senor! Eef you don't go there for the toorism, please do not live there!

If you drive by the Kelloggs factory, it smells like cereal... but no, no soup.

There's no Campbells factory. The day I was there, I got a distinct Mushroom Soup vibe.

I've lived in the Seattle area for 2 years now, but I'm a tranplant from PA. Previous to living in PA, I'm from Arlington, VA.

I live in the heart of Silicon Valley: San Jose, CA. It's boring as shit here, thankfully San Francisco is only an hour away.

I used to live in Hialeah, basically the super Cuban ghetto of Miami, FL

Bridgewater, New Jersey

Decent size town, I have no complaints about it except lack of stuff to do. But I guess that is with every town

I was born in Mexico but I have lived in Chicago for the past 15 years. Its pretty nice here except when it gets too ****ing cold. There is always something to do here.

Did anyone else read this thread title with an Ah-nold accent like, "Who is your daddy....and what does he do?"

:D

My dad lives just outside of El Yunque near Luquillo. Haven't been there in a couple of years, what's troubling ellos ahora?

Eh, that's what my fiance said when I asked her if it smells like soup in Omaha. She looked really creeped out by the question.

It really does smell like Corn Flakes when you drive by the Kelloggs factory on the freeway, though.

Omaha has tons of strip malls that contain nice restaraunts, bars and clubs, so coming from a large city, it really weirded me out. Still does.

Virginia. The weather is nice and crime isn't too bad. It's a nice area but it's really boring for me. I have so much family here that I feel caged in.

San Antonio, Texas

Its an OK town. Everything is kinda sprawled out like most midwest cities. You pretty much have to have a car to do anything. There isn't a whole lot of nightlife. Most of the good bars/hangouts are scattered in random spots around the city, though there are a few decent places downtown (too bad parking blows). Its kind of an odd place. Its pretty big population wise, but not big enough to seem like a major city. Most big cities have surrounding cities that are kinda tied to the overall metropolitan area (Dallas/Ft Worth for example) SA is basically all by itself. There really aren't many suburban towns in the traditional sense. A lot of people can't handle the 100 degree weather, but I love it. Give me this over frigid Northern climates anytime.

Overall the only other place in TX I'd rather live is Austin, for obvious reasons.

I was a born and raised Edmontonian.... I've lived in Prince George BC for the last year and a half, and this place sucks ass. The scenery is great, but it's boring as hell, and somehow.... it has one of the highest per capita crime rates in Canada. The downtown is scummy.

Anyway my girlfriend's here, and we're moving to idyllic Victoria on Vancouver Island in September..... Hallelujiah.

Seriously, Edmonton's pretty nice compared to a lot of places.......... Most of the world is a shithole, and at least we have a mall, 400 dollar tax rebates, and non-government run liquor stores that open past 11. I always thought Alberta was shittier than other places, but it's actually pretty nice from over here. Edmonton is not a bad place in retrospect... just cold, and stay off that north side.

I gotta get to that island.

I guess it's been a while since I've been there.

The project is expected to create up to 400 jobs -- more than double the number of employees at the Campbell Soup factory when it closed in 1996.

The Bronx, in New York City.

Generally speaking, it's the least commercialized or gentrified part of NYC but on the other hand it's also the ugliest and roughest. The people can be pretty rude and ignorant. and can be summed up as "trash." There are pockets of good here and there however, in terms of decent, diverse pop. and nice-looking areas. For all of its misgivings, I like saying that I grew up in/am from The Bronx.

Government's bankrupt. Crime is up. The island is going to shit. :/

Next they'll find out it's sinking into the ocean or something. :lol :lol

So what's new?

Seriously, I sorta wish there weren't so many Wal-Marts and other shit going in there. I'd rather shop at Gigante any day of the week.

I live in a city a little north of Seattle. Good place to grow up but is starting to get expensive as hell. Apparently they've been trying to move out all the poor people so the rich Californians can move up. I won't allow it!

But yea when they say Seattle is the "rainy city" it isn't. It's just we have gloomy gray days without rain a lot.

What's the deal with people from the Pacific Northwest hating on Californians?

Ooh. I get it. You guy's don't hate Southern Californians. You hate people stupid enough to leave Southern California.

Keep up the good work.

Melbourne, AUSTRALIA!

I LOVE my beautiful city! It’s winter here now which kinda sucks, but even the winters aren’t too bad (it doesn't snow or anything like that, only up in the mountains). The people here are extraordinarily outgoing and friendly, and there is always so much to do no matter what your interests are; exhibitions, festivals, bands, clubs, bars, cafés, restaurants and beaches. St Kilda is my favourite area to hang out in during the summer, sipping chardonnay by the beach, watching the passing parade of beautiful people walking and roller-blading by.

Melbourne totally rocks!

In the early to mid 90s, we had a huge influx of Southern Californians come into the area which drove up housing prices.

Now, it's more of a joke than anything else.

Yes I am reminded of them everyday when I commute through the shitty traffic. Californians are never a joke.

I work in Auburn, so I take soutbound I-5 in the morning, and nortbound I-5 in the evenings. I'm laughing at everyone stuck in gridlock while I fly by in the opposite direction.

I was in Bend, Oregon, not too long ago and all the of the local papers were hating on Californians. I felt like a jerk.

Grew up just outside of Pittsburgh in a town called McMurray. Went to Bethany College in Bethany, WV for one semester in 2001, but it didn't take. Transferred to Ohio University in Athens, OH the following Spring and just finished up here. As much as I rag on the town for being small and full of college-age douchebags, I'm going to miss it a little.

Bend is the new hotness of the Northwest, so they're just now getting hit by the SoCal rush.

Amsterdam The Netherlands

Cool city with all sorts of stuff going on.

I know most people think Amsterdam is all about weed and hookers, but theres more to this city if you really take the time to explore it.

I love the Anna Frank House and the van Gogh museum for example.

Ah. They didn't seem to mind the new Gap, Ben & Jerry's and whatnot that the Californians brought with them.
