Saskatoon, Saskatchewan ..

It's been voted one of the best places to live on the planet .. i have no idea by who, but thats what our tourism commerical says. Personally, I find it kinda boring .. although thats expected after spending a year backpacking through Europe.

Bakersfield, California... sucked a lot when I was born there but now it doesn't suck as much. I don't live there anymore.

Melbourne, AUSTRALIA!

I LOVE my beautiful city! It’s winter here now which kinda sucks, but even the winters aren’t too bad (it doesn't snow or anything like that, only up in the mountains). The people here are extraordinarily outgoing and friendly, and there is always so much to do no matter what your interests are; exhibitions, festivals, bands, clubs, bars, cafés, restaurants and beaches. St Kilda is my favourite area to hang out in during the summer, sipping chardonnay by the beach, watching the passing parade of beautiful people walking and roller-blading by.

Melbourne totally rocks!
It's not that great.

Austin, Texas.

Its very hot right now and I really wouldn't recommend coming here at the moment. Come during the spring or the fall for the full awesome. Summer is just not a good time to visit unless you used to Texas heat.

I recommend coming during the spring, good weather, and the flowers are absolutly gorgeous. The weather is fine and hiking is a damn good thing to do when everything is green and pretty.

Then again, I am quite drunk, so take my advice with a grain of salt, contact me again when I sober.

It's actually pretty nice. Not too small but not too big either (~100,000), really close to Denmark, a lot of beaches close by (baltic sea), the north sea in driving distance, and due to the 2 colleges here there's always things to do. Oh and we got a fjord. :)

Edmonton, AB :)

Love it here, though I'm an optimist. After going to LA though, really made me realise how small our "city" is...

...and how clean it is. LA is a dirty-ass shithole, Jesus Christ! :lol And everyone's FAT. Wow.

Westmeadows, Melbourne, Australia.

Westmeadows is the ****ing pits. Shit ass fuxin suburb. However, Melbourne is damned amazing. I love this place SO much.

I can't wait to move out of Westmeadows.

Well I'm glad someone else shares my sentiments about Melbourne. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Outer suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Where everything is gray and ugly and largely boring. Not that I see much of the outside world.

My home town is Loughborough; a place full of no-hoper morons which is only famous for it's University.

I now live in London.

Auckland, New Zealand. I like the neighbourhood I live in, it's an upper-middle class area that a lot of students live in because it's pretty much walking distance to the CBD where the major universities in this city are. There's a lot of restaurants around here and because of the large Chinese and growing Japanese communities there's a lot of choices for food. I've lived in this city all my life though (only in this area for almost a year) so it just feels small, I'll move to another country for a while after I finish my degree in two years.

And it's pretty cold here right now. The temperature isn't that bad, it's the ****ing wind that does you in.

So what's new?

Seriously, I sorta wish there weren't so many Wal-Marts and other shit going in there. I'd rather shop at Gigante any day of the week.

Gigante? Do you mean Grande? I've never heard of Gigante.

I live in Montgomery County, MD... apparently this is and I'll use a quote from wiki "the most populous jurisdiction in Maryland and one of the most affluent in the nation."

It's nice enough place, still very small town feel. Very modern though, lots of places to eat and shopping very close, and you can actually leave stuff outside and it'll be there the next day! Neighborhood kids leave their toys out front for weeks at a time with no problems, almost like the old days...

Oh man, I've moved around so much in my life I don't even know what to say is my "home town".

I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and moved all around in or around it pretty much until I was 12, except for a short time living in Peterborough (closer to Toronto). I did most of my growing up in Carleton Place.

I lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota for 3 years, and surprisingly I really loved it there, besides the awful winter weather.

3 years just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota... my favourite place I've lived to date. It's just really my kind of city.

Right now I'm (temporarily) in Athens, Ohio. This place isn't so bad, I guess. It's pretty, but that's about it. There's really nothing here, but then again I'm pretty used to living near big cities.

I'll be back in Minneapolis soon.

i'm in fairfax, va.

i'm about 15 miles from DC.

it's ****ing humid as shit here right now thanks to the near constant threats of thunderstorms.

i'm supposed to go hiking on sunday, dammit

Small town in SE Wisconsin. I use to say its perfect world being between milwaukee and chicago. Now this area grates on me and I cant really tell if its my poor attitude or if it really has changed that much. So much new development over once beautiful land it feels very crowded with people not doing much more then bar hopping and getting bear bellies and being obnoxious. Would like to see or move out NW parts and see if its different.

This much is true I'll pay you that. Winter sucks any which way you look at it really. Where in Melbourne are you?
I think it's more to do with the sudden change in weather that causes it though.
Yeah I'm a westie (albeit a more middle class one).

brooklyn, nyc. pretty much lived here for most of my life. very much a native new yorker. for the past few years the new york winters are getting to me though, they arent like when i was a kid, weather patterns have changed a lot and the winters are just long and agonizing now. i am planning a move to the west coast after i gather up a few years of work experience. cant quite do it just yet.
i mean i love new york and all, but the winters are soul killing.

Canberra, Australia.

It's cold like a bitch right now (but thats how I like it.)
Canberra is a city with many interesting things to do and pretty scenery but terrible nightlife.

Houston Texas..

**** YOU HOUSTON!!!

SAINT CLOUD MINNESOTA HERE I COME..

HOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Lakeland, Florida. It sucks, really. Stupid people and not a whole lot to do. If you want to go to central FL, Drive about an hour to Orlando or something. :lol

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Great weather
(if you like high temperatures)
, lots of stuff to do, but lately it's been getting more and more dangerous to go out at night. :(

Crime rate is up?

Yeah. It's never been the safest city at night, but now it's just ridiculous.

You can tell how bad it is from the amount of apartment buildings that have installed a security entrance gate recently, with cameras and whatnot.

It's the same back home for me, except instead of security cameras, you see all these previously open communities becoming gated communities so as to ostensibly keep the criminal element out.

I live in Seattle and it's great and all but the traffic ****ing sucks. This place has some of the worst drivers around thanks to all the Cali transplants. Stay away! We don't need anymore people here.

And the ammount of rain Seattle gets is completely overhyped. Sure it rains quite a bit in the winter but other than that I don't think it's any different than what you'd get in other places like New York or Boston.

well... My mum is from Iraq, my dad is from Algeria, I was born in Wales, I spent 1 yeat in saudi, 11 years in england and now Ive spent the last 4 years in dubai!

The nicest place Ive lived in is definately dubai. I cant explain how good things are over here, its perfect. We have massive shopping malls, loads of restaurants, plenty of night clubs and we even have a ski dome and plenty more. It just getting better and better.

Born in Austin, which I love (minus the hot weather in summer) but raised in Southern CA, which is heaven on Earth, as far as I'm concerned. Normally, I would've typed that the weather here is pretty predictable and always the same (sunny), but I was woken up by LOUD thunder and, 4 hours later, it's sunny again as if it never happened. :lol
