2K6 for me. The only basketball sims I ever played were NBA Live 2005 and ESPN NBA 2K5. I like 2K5 MUCH more.

Well, the poll is kinda off considering you got NBA2k6 up against NBA Live 05. 
I'll just assume you meant NBA Live 06. And ya, that's the version I'm getting (on X360) because I've hated the gameplay in the 2k series for quite awhile now.
To me, Inside Drive was the best bball going, it smoked both of these games by a large margin (in the gameplay dept.).

Temp Banned for Remedial Purposes
I really want to get 2k6 and enjoy it like I did in the Dreamcast days. But every year since 2002 I've bought it and then gotten pissed, until last year. I finally said no to Sega Sports and its good looking, shitty playing basketball Jezebel. I bought Live and it held my interest for maybe 2 weeks.
I will wait for impressions, but as long as people don't hate it I'm going with 2k6 this year.

Anyway, played more Live last night, and I gotta say that 2K6 is the deeper game. 2K6 is overall the better game IMO, my only problem is that I can't play it online which is where the true cheese and bugs really come out, but as it stands I like 2K6 a lot more. It feels more like a sim and it's a lot more of a strategical game than Live. Live focuses a lot on the superstars. I was using the Heat last night and Shaq has the power set so I triggered it and he jumped from the freethrow line, bowled over Mihm and slammed it home. :lol The high flyer and playmaker are the funnest move sets.
What sucks is the fucking slow-down in Live, come the fuck on. :|
PS: I got the games Friday, worked on Saturday so I only put in a few hours, and then had a family thing Sunday. I am really hating having such little playtime with both, but I think I have a good grasp on them.

Nah I don't have any X360 info, I'm not cool enough.
Depending on Wellie's review I'll more than likely get 2K6. I have a Madden PSP copy waiting in line to hit the used game bin. After playing some games on the PSP version, I played my league game with Ram, Big mistake. Since the PSP version is basically based on the 05 control scheme it had me all screwed up in the league game. Anyway, some of the vids IO've seen of 2K6 look good, and while this is trivial to most, the fact that Live is NEVER in widescreen really kills it for me.
